Nope, RTX 3050 > RX 6600 cuz RX 6600 sucks with RT and doesn't have DLSS. RTX 3050 DLSS Quality>RX 6600 RTX 3050 DLSS Quality RT ON >>> RX 6600 RT ON.

Why not? 45 fps 1440p with DLSS Quality in Cyberpunk. RT is the future, you can't run next gen games without RT and RX 6600 can't run RT normally in cross gen games.
2022-06-22 17:45
why would you do ray tracing with a 3050? thats like trying to win formula 1 with a fiat

name checks out delusional boy. rt is uesless on 3050 cuz its way to weak and DLSS 1.0 is dead and 2.0 is in 20 games at the moment. on the other hand FSR a d rsr are open source and availble to all cards. motivated shox lmfao get f out
2022-06-22 17:51

In 150 games*, dumbass. FSR = Soap, less fps. DLSS>Native. RT 3050 > RT 6600 by 40%. And it's not 2.0, it's 2.3.4. Go cry, AMD user.

Your opinion just like in 2019. All next generation games will use RT render and developers don't care. You won't be able to run new games, actually, there's already some examples (Star Wars new game, Metro Exodus Enhanced edition) It is the future.
2022-06-23 05:27

"You won't be able to run new games, actually" That is some wild ass take lmao. I went and looked and as expected Metro runs better on RX 6600 on default settings. Reality is: ppl buying lower tier cards don't give a shit about RT, they just wanna be able to run the games well, that's where DLSS comes in and that is the only real factor that makes buying the card reasonable.
2022-06-23 06:06

Without DLSS maybe a little bit better, let's on DLSS and see +25-30% diff in favour of RTX 3050. But who uses RT without DLSS btw? Haha, funny. Oh, sorry, I forgot that someone bought AMD cards instead of NVIDIA, how sad.

Then you will have no problem with RTX 3050 too. I mean, yeah, RX 6600 will be better, but I'd rather pick a card that has some kind of future and can repeat the past instead of card that can only repeat the past, but better.
2022-06-23 09:20
we are talking rtx 3050 and rx6600.... not tier 1 gpus... in that market people DONT CARE about RT... because these cards are simply not powerful enough for that... in that gpu tier, its generally for casual and competitive gaming (both of which mostly dont use RT), not full fledged real life image and light quality 4K with 120FPS...
2022-06-23 09:51
1 reply
Don't care about RT? Fine, you can buy cards without future that won't be able to run new game properly. RTX 3050 can run Cyberpunk 1440p RT ON DLSS Quality 45 fps. RX 6600 25-29 fps)
2022-06-23 09:53
rx6600 much better for the price

nah i don't care about ray tracing
2022-06-23 17:31
it's comparable to rtx 3060 in eaw performance but RTX cards can provide you some benefits like background noise removal software, removing background from your camera without a greenscreen, better ray tracing overall (rx 6600 prob have better rt than rtx 3050 tho), dlss etc.

Hardware wise nvidea and AMD are both good, AMD's tend to be a little cheaper. But software wise, i'd go with nvidea, AMD has a bunch of troubles with drivers in Windows and MacOS, and a bunch of technical softwares with GPU compatibility for windows only work with nvidea.

Good luck even trying to boot MacOS with NVIDIA cards then. (But I agree, NVIDIA better in terms of software than AMD. You just won't be able to boot MacOS recent versions with NVIDIA cause Apple just cucked NVIDIA users by having AMD GPUs before switching to Apple Sillicon)

Unless you processor is garbage or bottlenecking, you don't need to go overkill on processor. Games are not on the high end of "processor intensive" software, that goes to number crunching and technical softwares used in universities and big enterprises.

If you plan to upgrade it all, then i don't see reason to buy almost 2 year old now dated tech. Other than if prices crashes and stuff gets really cheap. Next gen gpus to start rolling out Q3, with major performance imprrovements.
2022-06-22 18:34
Next to no difference, just buy cheapest one/one you like looks of. All nvidia gpus have to comply with nvidia set constrictions, that makes them all practically the same. The small differences comes in looks. For performance and fan noise, silicon lottery of the gpu die overshadows that difference anyway, and this is lower power gpu.

It's better to have a great card later, than a shitty card right now. I'm gonna buy an RTX 3060 Ti this summer, but I have been saving money for like 2 years for that. (I'm 17, I was doing summer job, and tried not to spend the money I got from my parents) I could have buy a weaker card years ago, but i finally made enough money for it. You clearly are baiting, and as i said. OP price point is 6600 or 3050/60 and if u compare everything between those three, the AMD gpu stands out as the best bang for buck card. 3050 is a 1660S with RTX and its just trash for that money.
2022-06-23 09:40

Nah, you just don't understand what you're talking about cuz you have no clue. AMD gpu stands for having 50% less fps in RT mode, even without DLSS (in some games), that all what RX 6600 can stand for. If you have a little bit of brain you will buy a card that have future, if you have some extra brain you will buy RTX 2060 12 GB for the same price as RTX 3050, that's all.
