I have seen too many comments in the past few days pretending this gun is some 'underrated sleeper weapon' which is 'quietly meta and pros will realise this soon'. So I will state the obvious in this thread
Lie - autosniper is good people only use AWP and rifle over it because they are stubborn and don't know its potential
Truth - autosniper is dogshit, its just a shit rifle that costs twice as much
Autosniper rate of fire is 240 rpm, or a delay of 0.25 between each shot. Which means if you treat this as an AWP, you have at least a 0.25 second delay before you kill the enemy assuming you hit your 2nd shot (which you should always do if you're above FACEIT 2)
A 0.25 second delay to kill = death, even if you are holding an angle rifle TTK is fast enough to kill an autosniper before the 2nd shot most of the time, the skill floor is too high for this gun to be relevant.
There is no real upside compared to cheaper meta guns. If you are going for headshots to pick off enemies in 1 shot why not just get AWP to get much more reliable picks, or Scout for the same thing but cheaper? If you are just trying to hold a choke against a group push legit just use rifle and aim for the head. There's a reason pros right now can get braindead 3ks for free on CT with spray downs, and do it in under a second easy. You don't need autosniper to do this, it's not 2016 anymore GeT_rIgHt autosniper ace isn't going to happen
I would rather have an M4A1-S or AK-47 99 times out of 100 if I have even tier 3 pro level aim. Faster TTK, much better movement, half the price, no tracers, no scope sound, you won't die to a point blank engagement immediately if you don't get lucky noscope headshot etc.
TL:DR; you think autosniper is viable because it is. But it is only viable because you are a bot. Pros are not bots mostly, so its shit, only 'off meta' gun that is actually underrated is XM

if you increase HP to 1000 CSGO becomes MOBA. I saw some youtube video where some dude tried CS on 1k hp.
Just MOBA, stand still with:
A) Negev (most meta weapon = Tank and damage spec)
B) Autosniper (also meta, sustained long distance DPS = ADC)
C) Autoshotgun (sort of meta, burst damage = mid laner)

The nova is super viable too, I dont understand why more people dont use it. Close-mid range its exactly like deagle but easier to hit hs, 100% accuracy while moving, 300$ more expensive with a 900$ kill reward. So if on an eco you have 3k and spend 1k on a nova - you will get all of it except for 150$ back after 1 kill

in pugs plenty of people use Nova, I agree its good.
If you means pros, its because at that range of viability most pros would rather use Five-Seven or Deagle.
it also costs extra cash, harder to hide long barrel in corners and if you buy deagle instead you have backup secondary weapon for later rounds, Nova you throw it away after you get 1 kill, its useless once your opponents know about it.
Nova is ok unless they go to the other bombsite
I've seen so many people get salty when they die to an autosniper but when you think about it it still takes 3 bullets or 4 to kill, which is the same as an AK.and it fires with an interval giving any decent awper enough time to kill the autosniper. Heck even wide peeking an autosniper with an AK usually does the job
People always play scared vs an autosniper which allows for easy kills...confidence is key in this game and if you aren't feeling confident, no amount of skill can save you

Pretty much. If someone dies to autosniper there's only 2 cases that happens
a) bad. Learn to shoot
a) dry push long. But if someone dies to autosniper in this case they would have died even faster to AWP, against autosniper at least you don't have any risk jiggling angle. Problem here is dry pushing long, so basically it's just a) again = bad
conclusion: +1, if you die to autosniper its your own fault the gun sucks

yea the autosniper makes sense only in lower ranks of the game...but the higher you go...even the scout is better than the autosniper I'd say XD

but it takes an awp only 1...that's where I'm trying to go with this...yes the awp is a bolt action sniper but if you awp very well that's hardly a problem for you
if you are a decent awper then the autosniper is kinda a waste of money for you you'd much rather but a flash with the remaining $250...the autosniper makes no sense except if you want to troll the enemy and tilt them off of the face of the earth
Also, awp kills are extremely sexy to look at

I said for pros but yes it is exaggeration mens. Obviously any player holding angle generally has the advantage except when playing online, even five seven will beat a peeking AK at close range.
The actual important point is already explained - how does autosniper improve TTK compared to alternatives? At best its comparable TTK, at worst its full 0.25 seconds more than AWP presuming you land your 2nd shot 100% of the time (if you don't it goes up by another 0.25). And considering s1mple's TTK is literally 0.19 seconds when AWPing thats more than twice as slow
Against group rushes which is the only time auto might be 'better' than AWP the 0.25 time between shots and 0.5 seconds to 2shot a player = death, in which case use M4A1-S or AK for faster TTK at half the price

Autosniper is OP with a monitor crosshair. Especially the T autosniper is pretty much as accurate without a scope as with one. People think I cheat because I hit all these noscope headshots but in reality I just use a monitor crosshair.

you're ignoring the main strength of the autos and that's how much damn ammunition you get with it. SCAR-20 comes with 20 in the clip, 90 in reserve, which is 10 more bullets than an m4a1s. It does pretty ridiculous damage spamming through walls, and smoke spam with it is just as crazy - way way way more damage per bullet than a rifle obviously, not to mention it has the same wallbang penetration scaling as an awp.
even the .25 second ttk you mention is honestly so negligible and also ignores the possibility of a headshot anyway.
Auto Sniper is only good against riftles against an Awp it gets rekt.
not really good take,
you asume that you play auto as AWP and that everyone has insane TTK, i see on 2800elo that usually people have around 400-700ms based on leetify (dont remeber if ttk or ttd) and this + next point...
you should play auto at some "rare" spot (overpass long miniwall, train boost connector, mirage ontop ticket etc) so enemies have slower TTK
or you could even use one way smoke when they execute site and then the 2 or 1 bullet kill is good
... you just need to think before using it or you die to xantares peek and then you go cry on hltv
Better to think of it more like the negev than comparing to awp/scout. It’s more useful for spamming down a line of sight when you know the enemies are coming around a corner/ through an execute
You are talking as if pros have a 100% hs rate lmao, most pros have a 50% hs ratio and most headshot kills dont happen on the first bullet as well.
The reality is no kills dont happen as fast as you think most pros make a kill to somewhere 600ms on avg.
The autosniper is good and a lot better than rifles, the problem is its cost, its rare that you will want to invest into such an expensive gun and risk destroying your economy, its also hard to gather an economy to even buy the gun.
Great weapon, makes people so mad even though it's easily counterable.
