Let's be clear from the start - I don't hate my team and I'm not a fluke fan. I cheer from them from my heart and really wish them the best. But it's a time to speak the truth.
Results of OG will NEVER change until they're willing to spend money on top 20 players. There's 0 succesfull teams that had no top 20 player in their roster. Even teams like North, when they had good runs/year, had in their team atleast a one top 20 player (valde, for example).
F1KU, mantuu, flameZ and NEOFRAG are not bad players. But that's their peak, just not bad.
When OG had a top 20 player just for the one tournament (degster) they actually were doing very well.
When I learned that jks or YEKINDAR will not join OG (and instead they signed another "not bad" players) I already had that thought in my mind.
BLAST proved it once again and this tournament finally cemented this and basically confirmed it.
Until org doesn't spend a big bunch of bucks on the roster nothing will change. And I don't expect to see the current OG on the major, as much I want it.
MOUZ is a budget org but OG is budget MOUZ

MOUZ has a different kind of problem, dexter tactics doesn't work on the team tho.
frozen > anyone from OG and so is torszi.
Also OG got that accomplishment with degster as stand-in, a.k.a. one of the best AWPers right now

I meant more like MOUZ doesn't spend top $ but still always had good rosters that were sometimes title contenders. OG on the other hand...

Ok, but this OG looks much more promising than any other iteration and they are really young. Fiku and Neofrag can definitely still develop into top 20 players with more tier 1 experience.

Literally the first and second iteration was top 6. Don’t let recensy bias fool you. They made decent runs and ended up losing to teams like navi, faze etc.

But in this teams second tournament together, they beat both NAVI and Ence, the second and third best teams in the world. Assuming that Fiku and Neofrag only get better, this team can definitely be good.

Nexa wont be a star player obviously (those times long gone) but he doesnt need to, he is just solid enough to not be an issue
it's not about the IGL problem, it's fucking obvious.
You could say that before they swapped Aleksib for nexa, but not now. OG has a completely new IGL with completely opposite style of playing, but still there are the same problems - choking, getting outaimed and outfired by every half-decent team, losing clutch situations with a big advantages.

NEOFRAG is inconsistent, flameZ was great at first, but then became inconsistent too, mantuu is still the best player in the team.

Degster buyout (from OverDrive's inside) is like 300K.

Ikr? He has have such a low buyout, but even after that OG doesn't go for the deal.
I can understand why they didn't go for YEKINDAR, he has a long-term contract, therefore high buyout, blah blah blah and shit, but when they doesn't even spend a money that even MOUZ would gladly give for such a player, it just shows that they don't give fuck about the team.

They have young and promising players, they just need some time to get experience at t1, maybe in 6 - 12 months if nothing improves then it's good to invest in one top player

But as you can see, OG can't do that. They have a flameZ for like a year already and guess what? He's not a top 20 player.

importanly those player are overpriced. Investing on young talents are still a smart move
I fully agree with you. Either buy and train rising talent like mouz, or pony up the money for top 20 players like all the other teams with a big budget.
Right now they do neither. Their player's aren't prospects, they are just not bad / alright without a high cealing. You can't go deep by running a team like that.

Mate give them time, this iteration of the team in just a short amount of time looks very promising especially when u realize that since the addition of F1ku and Neofrag the team has only had a total of 20 Practice days counting travel days. So with the player break coming up and the team actually getting time to practice and work on their maps I wouldn't make any assumptions yet.

I would be very happy if I'm mistaken, but in my opinion nothing will change. I'm giving like 90% that this roster would be the same as the previous one.

That's not the mentality behind the org tho, you can't expect them to go full faze clan, they'll keep doing it the same way they did so far
also a lot of small regional teams have proven that you don't need to have a top 20 player to be good and put up a fight against top teams (tho it's obviously way harder)

To be honest, I think the org knows that and is OK with it. It's part of the charm of OG, they don't try and buy success like teams like G2, it's just a team of people pulling together to try and make it work

Last 6 bo3's they played was vs top3 teams besides Entropiq.
3 wins, 3 losses, they played well even with mantuu, made faze run for their money.
Imho, just mantuu do not fit fast playstyle, not because he's bad player but because he's slow. Degster is aggresive awper and his synergy with OG is amazing. Hope they wil buy him, 300k seem reasonable
