I’m assuming they’re prepping for cologne rn and they couldn’t get yekindar to stand in for them in time but I think they should’ve attended Roobet, even if it was with shox
They have a facility in Europe, and I’m assuming they’ll boot camp there with yekindar before cologne, like they did before kato and the major.
I would assume they would also play a European online from their facility.
Might as well see if n0tr0 and daps work well together, and since there were plenty of teams that liquid could beat like big, astralis and 9z in the playoffs, they could get a small confidence boost, which I’m thinking they’ll need considering the start of the year was below average.
And considering it’s liquid to they’re probably not even practicing so playing in an online tournament > playing fpl

they can still treat it like a legitimate tournament, plus ego boost for maldliege is probably important
online tournaments are useless for teams who play all t1 lans, the cs being played in roobet is so bad
nah just prac as much as they can with yekindar. no point wasting time with a dead team

Ehm, its just a speculation, but i think Liquid might be waiting cause:
1. They had to sort thing out with a standin for Cologne and
2. That they might not even keep Yekindar since the whole paying russia money is bad thing, so mby they just waiting and then doing a bootcamp before cologne and it would make perfect sence.
But what do i know. For all that i know Yekindar could get signed like C9 signed whole Gambit roster. It just doesnt seem right cause TL is way more strict with russia thing. Sooooo guess we just have to wait and see if Yekindar stays or not. My guess is that "IF" TL does great at cologne and YEKINDAR does a good job they will prob keep him, even tho they would have to pay russia. Or YEKINDAR/TL as a team does terrible and they i dont think YEKINDAR will get signed.

but it’s still new coach, and they have shox, a top 4 finish to end his stay at liquid would be very nice for everyone, and nitro and daps can familiarize with their strats, playstyle and thinking

2 lans weeks apart? Changing coach and player and possibly roles? Why would they waste time on a tournament like that, they have to focus to bring a new player quick, they need to build the team spirit with daps, they have stuffs to process. Stopping everything just to play a couple of matches that holds no meaning to them is just useless.

top teams like faze that don’t have to play in the cologne play in are also attending Roobet, liquid will have 2 weeks to bootcamp after.
My main points however where that the is is tournament experience with the new coach, and elige can boost his ego
liquid literally never attends any non BLAST, ESL, or Major event
idk why and it angers me because they could improve so much if they played more tournaments

they've literally been a top 10-15 team for the past several months
Maybe they can't beat the elite teams like NAVI, FaZe, etc but my god you guys make it sound like they can't even beat t4 teams

It almost sounds like you think Liquid even care. Their players don't, the org don't. As long as they all get paid they are fine with where they are and what they are doing.
