Maybe they only focus on major tournaments.

IEM Dallas was very important for them, BLAST good tournament and on LAN in front of the crowd if you don't want to win that then idk why they play CSGO man.

Fym IEM Dallas was very important to them xd? The event was 7 days after the major, there is no way they came in with the same level of preparedness and willingness as the major

It should have been important because it counts to grand slam.

The counter for a grand slam doesn’t reset until someone wins it right? There will be other tournaments…

Yeah but the games have to be won within 10 INtel events so that’s the counter

That would work if the player break wasn't just around the corner. Remember liquid ? The player break is famous for destroying the momentum of teams.

idc what karrigan said, that was an IGS event who put them 1 win away, they were still 100% focused and wanted to win yet they still couldn t do it.
2022-07-01 00:37
Then i guess they should forfeit games and not attend then?

why should they? they still have to practice, why not to do that at the competative event where people will try their best against them?

They literally won 3 events in a row, and 7 days AFTER THE MAJOR, they had another event to play while being at the sights of everbody for being top 1. They'll try their best, but not burnout for a stupid event when cologne is 10 thousand times more important. smh

If they don't want to "burnout" they shouldn't attend then (lan & online both). /close

Sorry mate but that's not how it works. The org decides wether their team participates or not, not the players.
2022-07-01 16:51

The org should do what’s best for the players. Success is not only because of 5 players we see on the screen. A lot goes on behind the scenes as well and a lot more people are responsible and accountable.

An org like faze doesn't care for the players.
2022-07-01 18:15
Only reason they even won the other events was cos of lucky seeding and the war. They are just back to their real skill and performance don't hate on them

In the beginning, when Ropz came along, I was really hyped and liked to watch Faze games, but unfortunately it didn't last long and the "fans" became unbearable. The fact of believing you have to win every game and every tournament is just disgusting. In the chat you can't see any support, after 3 lost rounds the first threads on twitter demanding a change. 3 rounds won and the "enemy" is insulted and put down. I haven't experienced anything like that in 15 years of watching Cs. It's really not fun anymore to have the Twitchchat on. One can only hope that Faze really becomes a fluke, even if you actually like the players.

Even faze after kicking karrigan, and being out of top 30, were criticized every time they lost. I got used to the shit talk tbh.

Faze are a good team, they just play sloppy CS. They rely too heavily on talent and not playing smart. Too many aggressive pushes, too many flashy plays, not enough discipline.

and still this bitching.. they are literally #1 they play every tournament. and they just made 2nd place.. i dont get the whining
2022-07-01 11:28
We can explain their performance since the major with : - Ropz and rain not performing like they did before the major. - T side is poor - Not good enough is clutch - Overpeeking, to much aggressive in ct side - Bad performance in pistol round ( they were so good ) I hope everything will be solved soon

Twistzz stepped up after major Everyone else ( Ropz, Rain, Karrigan ) doing worse other than broky. He's trolling sometimes but is fazes most consistent player surprisingly. So rn it's only broky and twistzz the players you can rely on. I honestly don't know what happened to rain. Ropz is just in the moon right now, not sure what's in his mind.

Totally agree. Not much to say, rain karrigan and ropz need to step up.
2022-07-01 16:40
imo at this point i think the top 5 teams always have good strats and very rarely do they have bad strats. like if a top team is struggling, the reason usually is that their firepower has dipped and it may be the same problem with faze rn
2022-07-01 16:45
1 reply
Agreed. But there is some issue in strats too. Like, too much peeking in ct side.

Every team studied them, countered them and FaZe has been grinding tournaments non stop, so they haven't had a chance to properly boot camp for anything since the major.
