cant help but share the excitement that Source 2 and Valve going nuclear with it is.
3 supposed "well-known" maps are being reworked on with the new engine.
I have no idea which maps they could be.. any speculations? I think its 3 active duty pool maps.. train is 1 i feel like, the rest idk.
This is the update u think u dont want but it is THE future of the game. And one of the biggest and hardest challenges for a game like CS to move forward.

no clue, i think they are doing it with the classic CS maps, so could be mirage isnt one. I think going with the classics is more iconic, while porting the game to a new era of CS. I think it feels and makes more sense.

Community isnt even ready.. for whats about to happen to the game. I think its going to be a very long process tho in the test client, so it wont be in effect for anyone who doesnt want to be part of it. Kinda like panorama and scaleform UI, was in test and people could switch for a few months, then they just deleted the old one, which is the way it is done. makes sense. :D

I mean yeah, we been waiting for it for years, but i mean as a part of the community always whines with the smallest of changes, and thinks CS wont be the same, and its ruined. and so on, the typical "doomers" mentality when the smallest of meta changes happen.
So i do think many people dont even know how big if an update is to change the game engine from a game this old and complex like CS is. I'm ready for it, tho, its my dream to see the next gen CS come to life.

looking at the lengths of the words it could be train, overpass and cobblestone
but in the end in my head it would be kinda dumb for devs to be able to be spotted at working on those maps while their names are de_mapname_s2... sounds kinda stupid ngl xd

I do think all of the maps will be ported eventually so it's gonna be a long process.. waiting for it to begin in public servers, that's when shits get real.
If they are really reworking the maps again but in new engine, they will for sure look different, if its a simple port they should look the same.. but im leaning towards they are reworking them again but with new engine for some reason i have this feeling.
valve probably wants this hype for source 2, so they are pretending to leak it by accident. alot of companies do this nowadays

I dont think some maps really need much changes layout wise, so there really isnt need to rework the whole thing. Much faster to do as well
source 2 biggest bait EU. you know that only 3 people are working on csgo and can hardly stay the game running, and have problems with adding blog posts and do nothing except add new skins?

blogposts were tests, that who knows what they were testing.. and skins are part of the game like anything else, like it or not its huge part of the game now (since years).
Also its just part of the process, it takes it's time.. on a game this old. The big updates will happen..

No it’s a bunch of morons who don’t realize that we’ve been having these leaks for 7 or so years. Source 2 is already worked into the game fairly extensively, and that’s almost certainly what’s going to keep being done. They’re never going to flip a switch and make the game on a new engine, they’ll slowly integrate more and more as new content is released, but anyone claiming that source 2 is coming is lying or doesn’t understand what they’re claiming.

Half the game has been worked into source 2 for years. This means literally nothing.
so theyre literally making CS:S out of CSGO. lol. idk i dont find anything exiciting about this. CS 1.6> CS:S
