Hmm today against Croatia at times it wasn't all that great. But they got the job done which is all that matters. But Markkanen and even Salin who are the biggest stars in the team were kinda having an off day. Lots of missed 3 pointers and shit.

Not sure about contending for championships tbh. On a good day Finland has always been a team that can take on any European country tbh (maybe except Spain) and make it competitive and even clinch a win here and there. Like in 2017 Euro Basket we took a win against France and almost beat Slovenia (who ended up winning the tournament). That being said, the consistency has never been there, probably because the success was reliant on maybe 2 or 3 players. But I read some statistics previously that Finland at some point was like the 6th best country in hitting 3 pointers. Maybe the defense or something was lacking coz it never really translated into tournament successes.

I'm surprised to find out Finland even has a national basketball team. Basketball is a marginal thing here and I guess the national basketball league and teams here are full of part time players who actually go to work somewhere else or are college students.
