What is OP in the current meta in your opinion?
What changes would you like to see?
In my opinion, I think the AWP is OP, like it has been for a long time, I would like to see the AWP get a slight nerf. Maybe worse accuracy while no-scoped or slightly slower zoom time.
I would also like to see more weapons being played, in the current meta its just the AK, AWP and the two options for the M4 that is being played when teams have enough money to fully buy.

I think the issue with the awp is how static it is. Reducing to 5 bullets won't make it less effective for passive awpers because they don't take many shots and can just fall off an angle. If an awper is aggressed up and fighting though, they're going to be shooting a lot more, so reloads are basically a death sentence. So if you want to force all aggressive/repeaky awping to die out to be replaced by purely passive awping then go ahead.
real fix: remove all weapons from the game entirely, replace with a pistol, shotgun, rifle, rocket launcher, sniper rifle, lightning gun, grenade launcher

An awp nerf would be moving speed having your whole gear taken into consideration, not only what you carry into your hand
But that would change the game too much
I say this because usually, the concept of a sniper is being kinda slow but taking advantage of the long range fight. In cs go a sniper can have the same speed as anyone else, because you can quickly switch to the knife

I don't think that it makes sense for CS to reduce the general speed of a player just because they purchased an awp. At that point, the awp could only anchor a site passively because teams would know they can beat them every time to choke points on maps. Plus, a sniper rifle doesn't weigh all that much more than another rifle to create that kind of speed change for movement.
I do see a lot of comments about Ammo, and that I agree with. But I also agree with reducing no scope/quick scope accuracy slightly. But I'm not 100% on that one.

Not saying I agree with reducing the speed of the awper even with a knife out but to play devils advocate, it could lead to more teamwork/resource investment around the awper of the team which could be good for the game.
Right now, you can have a good awp player running around the map, solo killing everyone. If the speed was reduced, I'd imagine you'd see more riflers dedicated to their teams awpers when the awp is asked to go out first and get a pick. You'd want a rifler close by to cover and throw utility for the awper and if needed, provide cover fire for the slower awper to retreat. (If movement speed while carrying an awp is to be adjusted, i'd suggest that the speed of the awp player with their knife out to be equal to a normal player with their pistol out, that way run boosts are not completely useless. Plus, there would still be a huge advantage for the awper to take out their knife to get out of trouble).
Overall, I'd expect you'd see more passive awping but passive awping all the time is easy to counter with utility. Its the awper who can effectively walk the line between passive/aggressive that is really hard to play against.
I think it might be a worthwhile discussion to be had. Regardless, it's an interesting idea that I would have never thought of.

im proposing that without the long range insta one tap. you have the 2 shot close range kill (with slightly slower fire rate though) but long range u have the shitty delayed tap

Maybe slower economy so you need more time to buy m4 and ak, then the smg and shoutguns with higher payout oer kill will be more usable
Honest question/unpopular opinion. Why isn't every 'snipe rifle' a two shot below the neck and one shot head shot? Basically everything is a scout. That way the most OP sniper would be the autos and they cost so much hardly anyone would buy them anyway. This would require a very high skill for sniper use, rather than shooting a nuts and above for a one shot. Not saying pro AWPers aren't skilled, however, let's be honest, AWP crutching is very real in FaceIt and other play.

maybe they can increase price of awp and increase scout body damage to 85. I do agree that awp has been too OP for a while.
Its always fidgeting between price and damage/reload time/mag size and find the right balance.

CS has been like this for the past 20 years, it's not gonna change, awp is supposed to be like this, no the awp is not OP, it doesn't need a nerf, YOU that needs to buff your skill and knowledge of the game, so you'll learn how to outplay a sniper ... if you make just a little bit of effort, you'll come to the thought how risk and not confortable it's to have an awp in your hands, if the enemy team have a couple smokes, flashes and mollies you're in trouble
to be able to just enter this discution, players must be at the minimum supreme or global, so you have the right thoughts about the game (not that being a global or supreme makes u an expert, but at least puts you in the position that you understand the bare basics of the game and it's hardships)

The game in its current state is the most balanced it has ever been.
why not to nerf the awp:
awpers will look more at shiro (invisible player) and copy him. its ok if u play against aggro awpers, you will have to think where they will reposition the next round, its cool mindgames. shiro however.. man you cant counter this guy because he will ALWAYS be behind 1000 players making it impossible for you to go through, this guy is a rotation monster
Only change I would like to see is more maps. I dont know if I would change any of the weapons. Maybe increase the prize a bit on the m4a1-s.
