I really hope Aleksi puts together a Finnish roster, or at least tries. Obviously a bit more difficult since all the ‘vets’ are in HAVU, but there’s talent in the scene. Maybe sergej comes back, maybe Jamppi does. Maybe suNny finally leaves that terrible mix team he’s in. Maybe just young talent in general, an experienced igl is absolutely what all Finnish teams are lacking. I’m not sure which players Aleksi might have bad blood with considering the “revelations” that apparently suNny allu twista and sergej rallied ENCE to sign suNny or something to that tune but this is probably the best team from “available” players. Aleksib Sergej Jamppi/ottond suNny +Fifth Wouldn’t necessarily be terrible, not having xseveN would certainly suck because he is imo easily the best player in Finland, be it as a role player or more of a star. Biggest problem would be finding an org, but I don’t think it’d be impossible. Personally I just don’t really care much to see him in another international team, it just never felt the same watching Aleksi in OG and G2 as it felt watching suNny in mouz or allu in his teams. Maybe I just have rose tinted glasses though :D I just want the Finnish scene to be good men(

I’m thinking it wouldn’t be out of the question for a foreign org to sweep in and pick the up

Aleksib, in my opinion, is the type of guy who would shine in a finnish speaking team like in 2019, it's insane how much potential Ence has wasted back in the days

I understand how you feel. International teams like the current fnatic just doesnt give me that same feeling and i barely watch them even if Swedes are in the lineup. I love to support a team that i can relate to and if they win or loose really doesnt matter in the end, all i want is that passion. I agree that Xseven would be nice to have in Aleksis team, always solid and doing his part for the team. Deserves some success now after years of grinding aswell. Best of luck to my eastern brothers, you deserve a decent team to cheer for and im sure you will get it sooner or later. Hopefully the former.

Yeah I’m bummed about fnatic too, used to always fanboy their Swedish rosters but I just don’t care about the current roster

Same, when we had this Fnatic vs NIP arrival they were my fav teams to spectate and felt extra exciting to see NIP vs Fnatic matches, kind of like Barcelona vs Real Madrid in the past. Now they are not the same :( With aleksib to Fnatic I'd still find it semi-interesting team to watch though, more so than current NIP even if they on the paper look stronger. One thing also bothers me that draken never popped off, had wanted to see him develop into a swedish star awper, he always felt like he should have been the next jw and the swedish star awper rival to dev1ce but obviously the skill/performance was worlds apart but he felt like he should have become that next swedish star awper that kept playing for years and years for NIP but yea that didn't quite turn out to be the case did it. xD

Yeah fnatic vs NiP has lost its charm, sadly because we couldnt produce enough good players. The 1996-2001 generation of Swedish players was underwhelming, hopefully the next one will be better but thats impossible to know. If Aleksi go to fnatic they would become some type of "nordic team" and i guess thats a bit better than full random international.
2022-07-29 09:07
This is why even after failing at every step, EG and CoL still had fans! Teams going international after being domestic ones for so long ruin a bit of the charm. It's why G2 gets flamed so often now.

Never really thought about it that way, international teams never had much charm to me, apart from FaZe without NiKo and some mouz lineups, though FaZe never was committed to just one nationality and mouz has been international for a long time

There are a few teams that have just always been "International", and those ones are the exceptions, because their fanbases have never been about the country. FaZe and Mouz are the biggest two, and then OG is probably the only other one!

yeah, they’d have to try to get a foreign org pretty much. Maybe tsm or something like that

Aleksi can go IGL faceit premium matches, i think that's a better fit for him.

Actually it would work better then in international teams. But aleksi wants to provrle himself so hard that he would probably reject it. Pitty

new finnish roster and first player you suggest is sergej, not going to happen
