Stewie2k Status

twitch.tv/stewie2k At least 10k average viewers, already making 50k a year from subs alone in his first week and is sure to rise. If you're an NA CS player you legitimately cannot fail financially.

valorant is more fun to watch for me, and people are just watching tarik co stream the stream which is fine, I mean tarik is a cool streamer and fun to watch. But i dont get the hate that cs players have for valorant, people are hating the game for no reason, the only reason to hate it is that they copied cs, but they are hating the game for other stupid reasons

Whatever makes him happy is good for him. No he was not the greatest CSGO pro and yeah his CSGO pro career is likely over, but why does that matter? People just like to talk down upon others. However, Stewie2K is happy and probably doing better than most people are on these forums. If NA's CSGO scene doesn't improve, Stewie2K definitely will have nothing to come back to if he does decide to come back. He's achieved a lot more in CSGO than most other NA CSGO pros have and he can move on to becoming a pro in Valorant or become a streamer. He can land a few sponsorship deals and be set for life if he doesn't spend frivolously.

"At least 10k average viewers" twitchtracker.com/stewie2k 7.5k* average viewers "already making 50k a year from subs alone in his first week and is sure to rise." Roughly 1.2k subs. Twitch typically takes around half of the money from subs. Depends on your contract with them. So more like 36k per year at this point, but like you said that's just his first week thus far. -- Clueless American

Actually he's right, and your username checks out yet again. 1200 subs x 3.5 (typical Twitch partner cut of Prime subs) x 12 months = 50400.
2022-08-05 12:14

Good to see you again my fellow American friend. Unfortunately your information is not entirely accurate, which is a disappointment considering how I expected finances to be right up your alley as a rich American. "1200 subs x 3.5 (typical Twitch partner cut of Prime subs) x 12 months = 50400." $3.50 out of $5 for each Prime sub is NOT the "typical Twitch partner cut of Prime subs". The "typical" or "average" cut for a Twitch partner receiving a Prime sub is actually still a 50/50 revenue split with Twitch. $3.50 for a Prime sub would be a 70/30 cut which is ONLY offered to the very TOP Twitch Partners. The "typical" or "average" revenue splits for Twitch Partners starts at 50/50 for Tier 1 subs, 60/40 for Tier 2 subs, and 70/30 for Tier 3 subs. In addition, most Twitch Partners re-negotiate with Twitch every 2 years for aspects of their contract such as revenue splits for subs. Also, Twitch has recently been rumored to be actively trying to make 50/50 revenue splits the new standard for all deals, but this has presumably not been the case just yet. As of late 2020, the rough estimates needed to even establish a contract with Twitch where one would earn a 70/30 revenue split for subs were the following: "As it relates to a 70-30 split, the answer is a bit more convoluted. Instead of a clean-cut answer, I only have a variety of possibilities. In some cases, a 70-30 split comes from having closer ties to Twitch such as an Ambassador position. There were also a variety of numbers needed to renegotiate: 2500-5000 subs for 3-months (including Gift/Prime), and even 10,000 sub-points. Considering the wide variety of answers, I suspect not even Twitch has firm criteria for that sub split." Source: creatorhype.com/twitch-signing-streamers.. Additional sources for aforementioned information: dexerto.com/entertainment/former-twitch-.. bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-04-27/a.. eurogamer.net/twitch-may-reduce-the-reve.. In regards to Stewie2k's Partner contract with Twitch, he is nowhere near the requirements that would enable him to push for anything greater than the standard 50/50 revenue split. This can be proven based on his recent streaming statistics over the last few years that would presumably be the data used by Twitch's end when it comes to re-negotiating his Partner contract (which typically happens every 2 years, as I mentioned beforehand). His streaming statistics are as follows: December 30th 2016 - December 29th 2017: Days Active: 84 Hours Streamed: 325 Average Viewers: 4,728 December 30th 2017 - December 29th 2018: Days Active: 29 Hours Streamed: 93 Average Viewers: 4,364 December 30th 2018 - December 29th 2019 Days Active: 44 Hours Streamed: 146 Average Viewers: 4,883 December 30th 2019 - December 29th 2020: Days Active: 81 Hours Streamed: 376 Average Viewers: 6,175 December 30th 2020 - December 29th 2021: Days Active: 54 Hours Streamed: 238 Average Viewers: 4,733 Source: twitchtracker.com/stewie2k/statistics "1200 subs x 3.5 (typical Twitch partner cut of Prime subs) x 12 months = 50400." This statement also assumes that every single sub out of his roughly 1,200 subs were Prime subs. This is incorrect. According to sources, out of 1,152 subs that are accounted for, only 450 are Prime subs. This is a big factor when calculating how much potential revenue he may be earning from his subs due to the fact that Twitch implemented a new policy in the middle of 2021 that made it so the cost of subs were based on the location of the individual purchasing the subscription. ONLY Prime subs are guaranteed to be $4.99, while all other subs vary in price according to location. Sources for information above: streamscharts.com/channels/stewie2k/subs.. pcgamer.com/twitch-subs-will-soon-cost-l.. Below is a chart that gives examples of the price variation for Twitch subs based on location: Source directly from Twitch: help.twitch.tv/s/article/local-sub-price.. As you will see in the chart from above, the majority of countries / locations listed lowered their prices for Tier 1 subs drastically. Therefore, using $3.50 as a baseline for as 1,200 subs is completely incorrect and entirely unsubstantiated. Not only does he not meet any of the requirements to even receive a 70/30 split for Prime subs, but it is also intentionally ignorant to make a blanket assumption that every single one of his subs is a Prime sub or someone living in a country where a Tier 1 sub costs them $4.99. Assuming that he has a 50/50 revenue split which all signs point towards him having, streamcharts.com estimates that his monthly income from subs comes out to be somewhere in the range of $1,660 - $2,923. Therefore the actual calculation would not come out to the number you provided above of 50,400. Instead, the actual calculation would be somewhere in the following: Low estimate: $1,660 per month x 12 months = $19,920 High estimate: $2,923 per month x 12 months = $35,076 Source: streamscharts.com/channels/stewie2k/subs.. Even if every single subscriber was assumed to be from a country that costs $4.99 per subscription, the calculations would still fall short of the $50,400 number that you gave in your calculation. Assuming the best case scenario for him would still come out to the following: 1,200 subs x $2.50 x 12 months = $36,000 (the same number I originally gave in my first comment) Again, Stewie just started streaming again so all of these numbers are bound to go up. But your calculations are based on estimates that are willingly ignorant on your behalf and go against all of the information known about how Partner revenue shares work between Twitch Partners and Twitch. There simply isn't a single Partner who has been as inactive as Stewie over the past years and still has the leverage to have a 70/30 revenue share over Twitch for all subs. The top Twitch Partners who presumably had or still have the leverage to try and negotiate for a 70/30 revenue split on all subs are the same individuals that are being offered large sums of money from competing platforms such as YouTube Gaming. THOSE are the "Top Twitch Partners", not Stewie2k. Feel free to make a counter-argument with sources to back up your original calculations. I would love to have a back and forth with a rich American who I can hopefully learn a thing or two from, especially considering how uninformed I am on everything that has to do with the walks of everyday life. Hope you have been having a great day thus far, and I look forward to hearing back from my fellow American friend. -- United We Stand <3

this is why they can't win shit in cs or valorant, almost all of those players are just seeking quick money instead of really wanting to win stuff. For example Sentinels could very well be the best valorant team but all of their players are streaming instead of training and then they sign shroud just for publicization. NA scene is dead because every young talent is just seeking some fame to start off twitch channels. i don't blame them tho, easy money is the sweetest.
