Body building is very unhealthy in both a body dysmorphia way and overall health and fitness boxing is extremely cardio intense so you are extremely healthy

In terms of health cycling is great but it’s so boring I think running is much harder over long distances and it’s far more enjoyable because it gives you a proper challenge

running is def harder but worse on the body. Bike is good because you can carry snacks and do like a 6h ride and then eat five pizzas without feeling bad. Also if you ride in a hilly area or even mountainous then it'll be hard.

Yeah biking is good but my problem with it is they get nicked to easily and if you was to spend a couple hundred pound on a good bike to get nicked by some smack head who wants some smack You’re fucked

Man, listen you are about to do a mistake. If you start a sport you gotta actually compete in it. Boxing training, generally, is really healthy and if you keep it up for a couple of years it will be great for you in the long term. Now, the thing is with boxing, is the boxing part. I don't know how old you are or what kind of physical abilites you got but if you're about to start boxing in your late tens THEY WILL BEAT THE FUCK OUT OF YOU. And if you're into it, it's okay with me, but I'm saying if you are so concerned about your long term health problems boxing is not the sport for you. There are many WAY more efficient ways to train healty, individually or as a team. And by the way, the ignorace of you not knowing famous athletes in other sports is your problem. TLDR: its bad long term (look at tate :balding in early twenties), and you are ignorant if you don't know other famous athletes (Messi, Ronaldo, Nadal, you get the point)

I actually have to agree. Since I've going to the gym, I just hate myself even more, got some serious body dysmorphia. i've lost count how many times I skipped beach time, because I was thinking that people would look down on me because im skinny. But I'm still going, have a dream to chase, whatever it takes. Whenever I look in the mirror, I wanna go to the gym...

Lifting its self is an unhealthy but it’s definitely not healthy compared to something like swimming running or biking I consider healthy to be your cardiovascular capabilities and your strength and a lot of bodybuilders have shit cardio at all but a lot

I don’t think it smart to body build and go gym I would have to eat like 5000 cal a day and surely any thing I need to do with weights the boxing gym will have no?

Ya know gym is not only for bodybuilding right? Training with weights can help you to get stronger and more durable while boxing will improve your stamina and fighting skills. Both are a W imo

I have already started to incorporate best effort 1K speed runs and skipping both enjoy much more than fucking squats bench dead lift. I don’t get me wrong I love SBD and I am a lot stronger from when I first started the gym it’s just not as challenging if that makes sense make sure a fucking 100 kg squat is not easy but neither is a one K run on a high incline and a high speed

They are not mutually exclusive. But yes. Martial arts are goated. They changed me for the better, even if I quit afterwards. Check out a 2 days a week gym routine and train boxing two days a week. Best of lzck myf riend.

not an bad idea boxing is more entertaining, me also i have done greco-roman fights when i was little and i found it very nice, but i given up on that sport and now i am playing football but you know if i have the chance to do a sparring or something i will do it with no prob
