What went wrong for FPX?

They went from being one of the few lineups who could defeat a then #1 ranked Gambit, to not even making the major, and then a disband. How did things end up turning sour so fast for them, especially now with two of their old lineup in the top ten?

they beat Gambit and then didn't do shit after that. Fpx never was such a good team at all

I guess, it just feels like their lineup with ChrisJ was arguably their best, and without him, it lacked the ability to beat any "relevant" team

Quite simply they just rarely played I think there was a 4/5 month patch where they just didn't do anything like EG currently

Not trying to defend EG, but at least their two other teams have done something semi recently? I think each "big" NA team for some reason got into a habit of not playing smaller events for some reason.

I honestly don't even count those two teams as part of EG just because of them actually doing something Fair enough to them for playing though 0 excuse for their main team though they have no place in T1 CS rn and are just going to ride out their partner events going bottom last, it's either start playing these lower events or get the fuck out At least in comparison to FPX, FPX was proving their worth quite frequently

They couldn't agree on a contract, so guessing it involved both parties sadly
2022-08-12 01:39
he retired because events required vax, said so on twitter

Didn't he leave FPX during the start of online, way before the vaccine was even made? But yeah, sadly that sounds about right for ChrisJ.
