Best Monitor Size for CS
United States [LEGEND]
What do you think is the optimal monitor size for CS? Are there any pros using 27" monitors or larger?

24"/24.5" is the standard, but use whatever you feel suits you the best. Maybe 27" is better for you or maybe it's not.

there are no good 27" esport monitor panels for obvious reason
2022-08-12 12:49
I'm using an 48" OLED 4k TV screen. I'm not a pro, I'm just a normal guy having fun playing CS. Monitor size doesn't really matter - it only matters if you want to go pro.

Not really I did pretty good. It was more difficult when I moved and didn't have a chair or table set up and I was playing csgo using a bucket as a chair

How far do you sit away from your Screen?

You're getting used to it quite easily, I had issues the first few days for sure though.

If you got it you'd be a pro on the tetris screen, don't bother

If you got it in you, the skill, whatever it takes to become a pro, these insignificant obstacles as a few inch difference in the monitor size surely won't stop you on your way

Almost all the pros you see today won't be pros if they were playing with an intel 8086 on a 30 hz monitor

I don't think it matters much as long as it's bigger than 20" and you are close enough to see.
2022-08-12 07:26
24-27" is good, anything more is too much considering you sit close to the screen

Only difference is the desk space. Man I had my 24'' screen close that it kinda fucked with my keyboard and my 32'' is so far away that the stand is a bit over the edge of the desk.

Basically most of the pros plays on 24/24.5 because that's what they get on tournaments so.

it don't matter

2022-08-12 08:32
24 inch, 1080p for competetive shooters. Preferably 165Hz or greater. For SP games, one I prefer for my PS5: 28-32", IPS Panel, 60Hz, 4K, FreeSync/Gsync

you are delusional because every stream on twitch, youtube videos etc. are on 60 fps anyway. If you don't see 60 fps being smooth, then you have some issues with your eyes.

played on 27" but it wasnt good for me, now on 24" its fine for me
2022-08-12 09:48
It's hard on the eyes to have the screen close. I would say bigger and further away from you is better. But with good tech ofcourse (>=240hz, low latency and whatnot)
2022-08-12 09:52
Whatever floats your boat/fits on your desk/suits your ergonomics. For me its 27" 1080p.
2022-08-12 09:56
I was using 24" for a long time, recently got 27" QHD 240Hz and i love it so far (still playing 1280x960 stretched tho :D)

haha ok :D Weird thing is, i have the same settings like i used with the 24" monitor But i just had to lower my sens from 1,65 to 1,15 and i dunno why :D I used to play with 1,65 for several years but it felt so fucking fast on the 27"

24-24.5" max 27" but it will be hard to watch radar in-game if you play close to monitor
2022-08-12 10:31
I'm playing 49' monitor 21:9 stretched and it's very op because I have stretched and see more than 16:9 lmfao
2022-08-12 11:08
- If you want 1080p, go 24" - If you want 1440p and you PC can handle it, go 27" Always 144Hz or more

Also most 27" monitor have an option to play 23"-24" if you want to. (makes lower resolution look better, 1280x960 for example)

2022-08-12 12:55
use 24-25" others to big for cs
2022-08-12 12:56
for a bawt like you, 16", for being american, 4" perfect, you can't see shit anyway, america don't win many major titles in csgo. so
2022-08-12 13:00
24 inch
2022-08-12 13:03
24" is perfect imo
2022-08-12 13:04

49" Unfortunately only samsung have this size
2022-08-12 16:53
24 1080 240hz if you are serious about the game, if you're casual and also play other games you can grab a 27 1440p 144 hz for example
2022-08-12 17:02
I personally think that 27 is very big
2022-08-12 17:21
24" for CS 27-32" for casual games
2022-08-12 17:23
24.5 oor 27.

Hah, during 1.3-1.6 nobody cared, you could be a pro with pretty much anything. Nowadays its all about the newest CPU, shitty chinese mice and monitors.

Yeah kids seems to think that all the pros care about equipment when most don't give a fuck, they use the first mouse, keyboard and mousepad they are given and just use it.
2022-08-13 04:01
13 inch CRT with 1024*768 native resolution
2022-08-12 19:45
do any tournaments even offer 27" monitors as an option?
2022-08-13 03:59
If you want a bigger monitor just get a monitor arm and put it up close but that wont be good for your eyes. The biggest difference for bigger monitors is the ability to put them further away from your eyes. Monitor arms are probably one of the biggest upgrades you can do with your setup.
