Should I quit CS:GO
 |
Russia veloxman
I just suck at the game. I watch all the CS tournaments and practice daily but I’m so shit at the game that I lost nova in matchmaking, I lost DMG in wingman and now I am MG there. I am face it 1 with 500 fucking elo. Why am I so ass? i can shit on the bots in aim bots but suck at everything else. My crosshair placement is much better than the silvers I play with and so is my movement and gamsense, by they still get a better score. So should I quit and go to valorant?

dude this is what it looked like when i first started faceit back in 2016 gyazo.com/dd8298c445a60e67d06e9f3532f868.. If you are new to the game just keep playing, there is more to the game than just aiming, take some time to learn the basics on how roles work, learn the maps you play, where you should hold, how to rotate, how to use utility and how to help your teammates so you succeed, if people are giving you actual advice in game listen to them even if you think it sounds toxic, if they have an idea you should listen and if it doesn't work out then change it up
2022-09-10 23:32
you should quit grinding games as much as you can, and start actually enjoying your life. I wish I could do that. (not that playing a few times with friends is bad)

not true. with enough games played you will eventually get that lucky solo winstreak, and literally anyone can hit level 10 if that happens early. If you'd see what kind of bots run around in lvl 10 you'd understand

I know people at 5k hours who can't even get farther than gold nova, 10k more won't suddenly make them get anywhere near to lvl 10. Not everyone has the capability to reach that level, the easiest example would be handicapped people or people of age, natural ceilings are a thing
2022-09-10 23:11
1 reply
There are pro players with less hours than that, if with 15k you can't get to lvl10 something is definitely wrong with you Natural ceilings exist of course but lvl 10 is not an high ceiling and I can't see how people wouldn't get there with 15k hours
2022-09-12 04:27
might be so. I'm 4k elo 6k hours, seen some people having lvl 1 with 5-10k matches

tbh there's way more up and down aim on valorant because of some of those abilities. In cs you always know where hs crosshair placement is (unless they are jumping around a corner on a pistol round or a run boost).

Did u apply the strafe shooting ? Or when u fight are u static ? Static shoots are random only 1st bullet is fine and is not for all weapons. Deagle is unprecise on static stand up shoot. On strafe shooting it’s more precise and you become more difficult target for your ennemies

alright, when i often watch demos for some reason opponents hit their shots better when they face me, maybe my positions? Also im very unlucky, i always have games where i give -95+ or when i just get timing when holding angles

Being very unlucky in all games isnt a thing. If you aim right, there is no luck saving enemy. Timings arent full gamble either, you can improve your timings.

do you have good computer and monitor? Atleast for me I feel like it's easier to frag in cs when you have a good gaming setup. Naturally a person with constant 300+ fps and 240+ Hz monitor will kill a guy with 140-200 fps and 144hz screen much easier. When young talens go for CS they almost always invest in a good computer. It's a bit pay to win I feel like atleast.
2022-09-11 04:11
I play csgo for fun.
2022-09-11 04:12
sometime you get stock in low ranks and it is hard to get out if you have time and extra money buy new account and play from the start, you might get a higher rank after your 10th win
2022-09-11 04:20
btw if you are playing just to get better level/rank, stop it. grinding for rank/lvl could be fun but it does not seem like the case for you just play for fun, for example i used to play lowest settings low sens just to get an edge over others now i play highest settings 1440p with high sens. high sens was always way more fun for me, sure u loss precision but i don't care after 6k hours

1. How much playtime do you have? 2. Is your pc adequate for CSGO (144+ fps?) 3. What peripherals are you using? (mouse, mousepad, headset, ect.) 4. What refresh rate is your monitor? 5. How often do you play? 6. Do you have a practice routine? 7. Can you identify flaws in your gameplay?
2022-09-11 04:25
Was ex invite in 1.6 and played main in csgo. Haven't played for 2 months been playing the hell out of Path of Exile and a free fps called Ironsight.

You will need a powerful PC, 240hz monitor (even 144 is enough), gaming keyboard, mouse, headset, mousepad. Train crosshairs placement a lot more than just aiming it’s much more important, try to develop game sense and expect enemies moves in different situations, don’t be afraid of skilled opponents, make them fear of you instead, make them nervous by doing things they can’t expect, so play psychologicaly as well it’s important, play aim map against 10 lvl and beat them. Find good teammates. Rank up to global elite in matchmaking. Have done it all myself
2022-09-11 05:33
I play like 3-4 games in a week. I am Gold Nova 2. I once had 15 losing streak i went from gn3 to sem. Then came rank update i became gn2 again. If you watch me play you would think i can shit on this guy every day of the week. You need to start enjoying it. But still if you want to improve. Then just start playing retakes. Most retake server has higher level player playing on it. In starting they will stomp on you but slowly you will start fighting back and actually winning it. It will surely take you to next level
2022-09-11 05:35
Maybe just stop trying to "grind" a game and start actually enjoying it? After that if you are still not enjoying the game then ofc stop playing it and find a game you enjoy playing. Watching tier 1 CS doesn't mean you should try to get good at the game and grind.

ok your crosshair placement & aim are better than silvers. but you ll remain a total noobshit if you are happy with it. you have to aim & play better than a global (who are 90% composed of total noobs too) think smarter, anticipate moves advice for a noob : 1H DM (on different maps) , not only dust2 or mirage . minimum per day as long you can't reach top positive stats you're a garbage , keep practicing

it doesn't matter how hard you try if you are practicing properly. It differs person to person, so switch up how you practice and think about the game. If you are only trying to play a fps to be good at it, switching to valorant won't do anything if you are lvl 1. They will probably have better aim than you + valorant exp.

just setup your cs like this: 1024:768 stretched ez 700 fps and minimum input lag ggez

I think your main problem would be aim rather than gamesense, you aim is so bad that it cannot be compensated by your game sense or any other aspect of the game.
