EG goes through lulquid not going throw? dont see them beating cloud9 and if they somehow do with having equal 3 wins to EG, they wont have the round difference needed over EG

so thats the take if both EG and liquid win, liquid will beat c9 by the smallest of margins if they do (but obviously sh1ro wants to go perfect mode i dont see liquid even coming close) they wont have the round difference to take 3rd place over EG

Round difference doesn’t matter. It’s head to head map difference, so liquid go through (depending on if EG win 2-0 they would also go through over Furia)

american maths bro they are both equal maps atm and will both have another 2 maps to their name if they both win you can see that RD means everything when tied, c9 is 55, furia is 29, liquid 4, eg 2, ef -34, mrs -56

It’s head to head map difference. AKA how many maps they won against each other, which is liquid 2-0 “American maths” smh

Imagine calling out a nationality when you have no clue what's going on.

If EG win they go through only if Liquid lose, regardless of scores. Otherwise they are just tied on 3 wins instead of 2.

Yeah. I suppose I did the math wrong for the 3 way tie situation.

Seeing 3 way tie made me go back, I forgot Furia would be on 3 wins as well. Assuming Liquid win, if EG beat Furia 2-0 Liquid are 2nd on map differential, EG are 3rd and Furia 4th. If it's 2-1 I think it's still the same, as Liquid are top of map differential either way and another thread earlier said they go back to the first tiebreaker again once 1 team is removed, so that would be the h2h result which EG wins. If Liquid lose then Furia is safe in 2nd regardless, it just comes down to EG/Liquid/EF for 3rd.

That’s what I thought, but when I looked at the spreadsheet none of the possibilities went like this so idk

Apparently it must only go back to the start if there are still teams tied when one is removed, because the way it reads is that map difference decides it all at once if EG and c9 both win.

So I think the spreadsheet was wrong, cause the hltv article says that EG and liquid do both go through if EG wins 2-0 and liquid wins as well

H2H result is the first tiebreaker. Ie who won the match between them, which was Liquid. Maps only come into it if it's a multiple team tie and they have the same record as each other. Which in this case would only happen if both lose and EF win, the 3 of them would all be 1-1.
