But it is not only the org, the interests of the players are important as well. No player honestly goes to Sprout and says "let's win the major". They use smaller teams as stepping stones no matter what the org wants.

Cancel his contract? I don't think it is that easy. Why is device not just canceling his contract? A contract is binding, you can't just cancel it without repercussions.
Who knows, maybe he wants to go to Astralis. This topic is just a few days old and you already know that Staehr is not interested. Let all the parties involved take their time and negotiate behind closed doors. Let's see how everything plays out in a few weeks.

He is still under contract otherwise he wouldn't sit on the bench and be free and do what he wants. He is not living up to the stuff that he is supposed to do written in the contract but the contract still exists. Otherwise Astralis wouldn't need to pay $$$ to get him.
