Genetics/talent truth

As long as you have at least average genetics (more or less) with grinding you can get to a top level For example, if you’re like 195 cm but dedicate every bit of your life to basketball you’ll probably be better than a 220 cm guy who rarely even shows up to practice. Obviously you won’t be shit tho if you’re like 170 In csgo anyone who grinds the game for over 8 hours a day and practices correctly can get to tier 2 (because tier 1 is more luck based) Genetics only start to kick in when being the absolute best player in anything. Most of the “best players” are a combination of hard work and talent, like s1mple for example. No matter how hard you grind running you might make it to the olympics but it’s very unlikely you’ll break Usain’s record.

Reaction time or just overall iq ig, I don’t think genetics matter much for a video game

Hand-eye coordination is a huge factor. I don't think we are genetically equal in that department. There is also some arguments to be made for the speed that you can process/filter information. I bet that has some variation from genetics aswell

genetics don't matter in gaming, any normal kid with tryharding can become a good player so it's not comparable to real sports like basketball where you actually need to have height and body coordination and fitness and so on...

“Average” genetics vary from sport to sport, like if someone is below 190 cm in basketball he’s gonna have a very hard time

Take any sport that most kids try at some point while they're growing up, less than 1% of them will reach the highest level. Gaming has nothing to do with genetics in that sense, you just need to play for 10+ hours a day without getting health problems due to sitting so much and if you're competitive you'll become a good player no matter what game it is.

you don't need high IQ to be a good CSGO player (arguably IGL you need above average IQ but any other role it's a non factor). Look at the pro scene.

Talent is 1000% real and more important than grind
