I need to use footage from a tv series for a meme but youtube keeps blocking for copyright. How can I dodge this? I dont make any money nor am I trying to post whole episodes just parts for a meme

I don't think it has to be THIS bad try just fiddling with the colors some football highlight channels also like to cut the borders of their vids by 20-50 pixels on each side

Really often people mirror the original image/video, that way it is way harder for the copyright system too detect. It might still not be enough, but you could try.

Using shorter clips and cutting them together with non-copyrighted material should help.

tried that but it kept komplaining even for 13s clips so it kinda becomes useless making the clips shorter

What about interspersing them with non copyrighted material? Because it is common for straight up copyrighted clips to get blocked.

This is the standard one people use on YouTube. I’d put it in the description, and as a few second clip in the video. FAIR-USE COPYRIGHT DISCLAIMER: Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, commenting, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favour of fair use.
