Osee

Nitr0 is finding his form again... Osee still having trouble. I think he's been playing poorly for too long to not be the deadweight in the team. Possible change after the season ends? What are your thoughts?

Holy shit, yes! Especially with the way he plays. He's very dynamic and very strong on T-side. Liquid would have almost unbeatable T-side with acoR, i think.

probably. naf lives eu, yeki also. -osee only leaves nitr0 & EliGE. Issue is that liquid already Bootcamp a lot of the year, so there isn't really a lot of point. yes it would make it easier for the players, and maybe a bit more practice. but the downside of completely making 3 players (daps included) move to EU is huge. (stress of new house, new people, area, language possibly etc)

NA? Wolfy. But if they want an international player, there are several awpers available. Forsyy and Mantuu are free agents, so they probably won't have to pay much for them.

why? osee hasn't been putting up good numbers for a long time. He's an *alright* t1 player, but not good enough to compete for titles with the rest of the liquids team. He's young, definitely not the end of his career.

There isn't a player that can feasibly replace what oSee provides to the team as an awper. He's something liquid have lacked for years, and even if he doesn't always perform outstandingly he's generally capable at handling other t1 awpers. Liquid don't need to make a change, especially since they've been having their best results since the start of 2021

Liquid are having great results, and are currently a title-contending team. But that is very much due to the other players. Replacing osee could lead to a dominant era.

Being a team making constant fast changes like G2, Astralis, NIP, etc. is absolutely braindead ngl. They’re fine as they are. oSee is the most bitch-awper ever due to his roles as designated utility thrower.

liquid had an era in 2018/2019. then haven't been top 10 since recently. Meta changes. Also, Nitr0 was better awper back then than osee is now. Let that sink in. It's almost as if times change, people change, meta changes. There's a reason why liquids era was finally broken.... :omegalul:
2022-11-25 02:41
maybe they should just get zywoo since everyone is speaking English now. Osee’s role is just dumb. There’s no such thing as ‘support’ awp. You don’t buy 4.7k big green to sit behind others and throw nades . You need to find early impact.

the reason that osee is in that role is that he is clearly not comfortable making plays. better awper would solve that issue. Zywoo is almost 0% chance. but acor is a very real possibility. roles + characteristics fit much better.

I'm not so sure about that, this only comes to mind but Osee used to play A Ramp on ct on vertigo where he was constantly peeking and where an awper should play, he was doing great. Yekindar has now taken that mantle and osee's been moved to mid. I don't think that it's not that he's uncomfortable it's just that yekindar has taken a lot of his positions that he'd prefer and where he could shine

osee wasn't any better before yekindar. you can see that the positions osee is in actually have a lot of space for him to make plays, but due to him not being comfortable making plays, and being the weak side of the defence often, liquid has to lean multiple players over to his site to compensate.

Honestly, he's a good player with good mechanics. What I don't like that in Liquid, he's just holding off choke points and other areas with just AWP where you're guaranteed to have 2-3 flashes+smokes and an AWP isn't effective there. I want to see him going for more opening picks and taking more initiative. If he can do that (and I think he's got that ability), Liquid would reach their 7th gear.

-1 if you look at the positions he is in, he has a lot of space to make plays. unfortunately, he just gets abused because he doesn't take space & he misses a few shots. So he plays more passive in his spots because he isn't as comfortable. his skill level is holding him + liquid back rn. The setup isn't to blame. and yes, osee is a good player, but he's not what liquid need / consistent enough for top5 team rn.

I do... I have analysed their setup, granted it has changed a bit more, but this is the core gist of it. Osee was getting abused, so they had to give him a more conservative role. he now throws lots of util, but thats not what you want from an awper. -1 comment

You think maybe that the reason Osee is still performing average and not good is because he hasnt needed to perform as well? With Nitro picking up his form Osee did not need to excel today, and that's kinda the point. With Yeki, Elige, and Naf, those 3 should be the one's going insane and topping the scoreboards. Not Osee. The thing is that Osee hasn't needed to perform yet. Today they had 4 players all playing good on different maps (On Mirage today Osee did pretty good for example, not spectacular but when 3 other more aggressive players are playing as good as Yeki, Elige, and Nitro did it's hard to do spectacular. The other issue is that no other awper is really a clear upgrade. Yes, Acor on Gamerlegion has been fantastic, but he's their big star, and tbh that's not what he'd be on Liquid. Osee was the same. Insane on Extra Salt, their star who they set up for everything. The issue is that he went to Liquid, where his roles became more supportive, and more based around setting up Elige and Yeki. It would be the same for Acor. The other thing is that we can't forget the MOUZ stint that, quite simply, just didnt work. Osee is also perhaps Liquid's best performer under pressure (stepped up huge in the EPL playoffs, 2nd best player at the major (despite and abysmal MOUZ match may I add))
