depends. If you are the best CS:GO player ever and also most intelligent nothing stopping you from goin pro at +40. B
2022-11-25 07:02
After age 30, people tend to lose lean tissue. Your muscles, liver, kidney, and other organs may lose some of their cells. This process of muscle loss is called atrophy. Bones may lose some of their minerals and become less dense (a condition called osteopenia in the early stages and osteoporosis in the later stages). But im not saying that it's impossible for you to become pro, just less realistic. Remember that nothing is impossible, also if you lived a healthy life and your body feel good then you also have better chanses, your 30+ body could be just as good as someone that is 20. ALso never listen to what other people says and always believe in yourself. If you're even thinking of becoming a pro i would say try to work on your intellect and be an igl. You can do it.
2022-11-25 08:32
You see alot of 40 yo going pro? lmao. What a stupid question.

I'm 24 and I feel young as hell. The reason why you most likely feel "old" at the age of 18(???) is because you are not taking care of your body, no form of exercise, bad consumption of food, not taking care of yourself. I know people that are TWICE my age who feel young as hell because they are doing the complete opposite of what you are doing.

Fer was playing csgo since 2013 and probably other version before that so for sure he's hard worker. Probably all of them are hardworkers cuz none of them is considered as a talent or anything. Talents are players like zywoo, b1t, brollan etc

Fer is an on and off hard worker. Definitely not working too hard in 2019 or 2020.
2022-11-25 07:45
What define a talent from a hardworker for you? Someone that play just to enjoy the game? Is a hardworker someone grinding the game without enjoying much playing it ? Peoples we call talents are grinding the game aswell, for zywoo as example he keeps playing alot but he is drived by his passion for the game he isn't drived to become the best
2022-11-25 08:26
1 reply
Imo talent is someone who didn't need like few years to get to top level (tier1/tier2). That's why I mentioned zywoo who had his first offcial games on hltv in 2017, in late 2018 he joined vitality and got #1 spot in 2019. And before vitality (or even during that period) he was literally smurfing in FPL and was being accused of cheating by many pros. Same with brollan, he had his first games on HLTV in like april 2017 and 1,5 year later he joined legendary fnatic. These players didn't have to grind CS for like 5 years to get chance in tier1 like most of players did. Being talent/hardworker has nothing to do with enjoying the game or not.
2022-11-26 01:08
fer's aim is definitely not hard work. He's a natural.

i think the only pro that is 100% talent as opposed to hard work is fnx, man didn't show up to praccs and partied all day and still won 2 majors even phenoms like s1mple/zywoo gotta put in the hours
2022-11-26 01:13
1 reply
Yes cuz he had cold in peak in his team? Not like fnx was carrying it or something. Cold pulling 1.40 was the reason he won 2 majors, fnx still had good rating but it's not hard to get it if u lose 2 maps out of 18 in 2 majors and u kinda dominate on rest. Idk how u can call a talent someone who's only personal achievment was getting #19, not a single MVP. If he was a talent he would be smurfing against these t3/t4/t5 teams he was playing for last few years but he wasn't.

- I started out playing 1.6 for like two years, but then I stopped for eight years to focus on my studies and things like that. Since I came back to the Counter-Strike scene, I just started to play and improve myself as fast as possible by watching demos and playing FPL. pley.gg/news/saffee-being-late-bloomer-c..

not a single org would pick u up at 40 when you never had a team. doubt that really hard.
2022-11-25 10:25
It depends on what level you want to get to, if we're talking about CS I'd say if you want to get to the very top you kinda have to be under 30 to have any realistic chance and usually in the low 20s or even under. Older than that people usually have other stuff in their lives like family or a job so they can't suddenly put everything aside to start grinding which is essential in becoming a pro. Age doesn't necessarily mean you are bad, you can be individually still very good in your late 20s but older than that not so sure. Can't really remember individually really good over 30 year olds. If you are only talking about getting paid a little and having a team in lower tiers it's not that "age restricted".

I think age doesn't matter, but the career length until a player gets bored is usually 10-15 years. If you start your career at 27 let's say, you are going to play how many years without getting bored?

18 should be the age, because they can make the decisions instead of parents or guardians making it too complicated
2022-11-25 07:33
probably anywhere between 30-35
2022-11-25 07:56
HuNter started career at 20
2022-11-25 08:00
The biggest challenge with age isn't much about the ability to react fast like some may think but to find the fuel or motivation to keep going and make sacrifices to dedicate to the game
2022-11-25 08:17
If u r not lvl 10 at 14, then u need to give up.
2022-11-25 08:20
If you start late, your chances become slim, because you learn much more at the age of 12 than at 25. There are some exceptions like roej, but guys like him are just incredibly talented.
2022-11-25 09:44
It's more about comfort of life (obviously you are 25-30 years old, having bills to pay, unstable financial life, you can't abandon everything to try to become pro) and motivation than about age

tbh when i got to like 26-27 yo i started becoming a tired boomer, i remember in cs 1.6 / css days i was very energetic with fast reaction times :(
2022-11-25 13:04
My opinion, once you have either: • Full time job • Children • Full time job AND children You have no chance, purely to put the time in to be consistently on form, UNLESS you are already an established professional like Gla1ve

+1 only distractions can make someone worse, not age like 30+
2022-11-25 16:11
Fernando alonso is 40+ years old and Formula 1 require much faster reaction times than Cs so age is no excuse. lack of hunger + family or other additional stuff can make you worse, but certainly not age.

Anything over 19 I'd even go as low as 18 nowadays. It's usually a natural process tbh, after 18 it's either your pursue a normal carreer or you give up everything and try to go for it. If you're not already at some form of high level by that point you're gonna feel shit when you see your friends succeeding in more "traditional" ways and most likely give up. Add in a family, money issues, other goals and the simple fact that you will most likely feel like a looser (and people around you will make you feel like a looser) playing video games all day in the hopes of getting picked up at 21yo. Like genuinely this whole trying to go pro should be left very early in age because when you're 14-16 you can actually drop off your social circle and manage to balance school and tryharding in csgo, like its fixable even if you fail in esport. But after a certain age your odds are close to non existing and your literal life is on the line

I don't think there is, but at certain point it will be very hard to convince orgs to hire you unless you have enough pro level experience relative to your age. Now if you manage to build the team around you yourself, that can be another story.
