Headset suggestion
hype |

Hello fellow HLTV User, i finally managed to break my Hyper X Cloud 2 that i had been using for 7 years ( F ) Since Black Friday is today, i am searching for a Replacement. I have been very satisfied with the Cloud 2 but due to it's bad mic i don't want to buy it again (comfortwise it was amazing tho). My Budget is around 80 bucks. The Headset is mainly used for music and gaming ( i don't have a problem with creating 2 different equalizer with peace to switch around). Any help is highly appreciated :) Have a nice day and thanks in advance!

I suggest you buy a good mic and good headphones. Headset are garbage at both and cost more.

+1 this is the way to go in my opinion. Ever since I got myself a nice desk microphone years ago I never looked back

i don't mind that to be honest, but the problem i have is i don't want an external mic ( i was actually considering the modmic but imo it's to expensive). But are there any alternatives to it ? edit : #3

yeah V-Moda's versions are a similar sort of thing. Better than all but the best gaming headset's mics but you can stick em to headphones that aren't garbage. note that I forgor you can't use em with hard attached cable headphones

Yeah those are classics, almost everyone loves those. I would be surprised to hear anyone saying those are bad unless they randomly find them uncomfortable. I would rate them as like 110%+ as good as a Philips SHP9500 or 9600.

If you are looking to cheap out then I highly recommend superlux headphones. You can not find better headphones for that price. For microphones I dont have experience from cheap ones. I have Focusrite audio interface and Shure SM-57. Im set for rest of my life.

V-MODA BoomPro (on sale on amazon) + ATH M30x (on sale on amazon) Edit: I think the M30xs don't have detachable cable lol, Vmoda can't plug into them.

+1 Audio-Technica is great

Philips SHP9600 are the headphones to get, not the M30x, only M40+ could work with an inline mic like the vmoda boompro.

Same, very good headset.

Headset mics are always underwhelming, you have to buy a decent mic if you want better quality.

Nah, corsair mics are actually decent e.g, i just don't like a mic due to the fact that the arm would disturb me i just don't like it :D

buy another Hyper X Cloud 2
2022-11-25 10:41
most pros either use the hyper x clod 2 or the logitech g pro (x) personally i use the logitech g pro and i like it, you can configure a lot of settings for different games/ for music etc.

Razer Blackshark v2. Quite cheap now, but used to be priced over €100. You don't need to buy a more expensive gaming headset.
