And you can qualify it directly through world ranking. And Kato is an event with 16 teams instead of only eight and only 2 teams out after group stage.
Katowice 16 play-in -> 16 group stage w/t 8 directly invited through ranking instead of partner only qualifier -> 6 playoff
BLAST seasonal final 8 group(one from Americas XD) -> 6 playoff.
Imagine putting them together.

There will always be speculations why this team isnt there, and why that team also isnt here... If C9 would be there, a lot of people would argue with ENCE etc.
But the point is that those teams that deserve to be there are there. This year we had only Faze, Navi, and maybe Vitality that should be there no matter what. The rest of the teams are arguable.
Why nobody argue why G2 is there for example? They did nothing except Katowice. Why nobody talks about Liquid, which have only fluke EPL final in their bag?

TL has been fine since Yekindar joined. They just had a bad start this year with shox.

ENCE literally robbed by dumb partner teams like OG who achieved nothing outside BLAST circuit.
People are asking why OG is there not why C9 isn't there.

Should have the rankings like in tennis.
Every tournament is bringing points.
Major - 2000
Teir1 - 1000
Teir2 - 500
Challengers - 250
Sponsored- 100
And based on that you get ranked.
If you do not attend the tournament next year you loose the points you won previously.
That can make some top teams maybe getting spot 1 by attending smaller tournaments and playing more CS events… don’t know…

yeah it sucks , there was a key difference between ESL and Blast decision regarding Russian players after conflict , ESL said they can participate under a neutral name but blast straight up DQ'd them . thats why when outsiders won everyone was saying blast is in big trouble cuz they might need to break their own "rules" for world finals

If c9 or VP was blast partner teams, they would allow them. But because they are not, they just care about their partner teams.
Just like OG being dogshit the whole season, but by being top 6 in a show event two times they are now in world finals.

Actually no, weplay simply canceled cis quals, so not only c9 and outsiders took the damage and missed opportunity to play at showdown qual, potentially Ukrainian teams such as ec kyev and b8 missed that opportunity as well
outsiders is playing next blast.

Well, you need to take into account that Heroic came 2nd at the major too.
2nd at major + 1st a fall finals > 1st at major evidently.

Listen i understand your point. The problem is outsiders did not have a chance to even play at blast since they are banned.
In what world you derank to heroic after beating heroic 2-0 at the major just couple weeks ago, while you had no chance to play?
Come on this is such huge bs.
Outsiders literally lost 130 points just because blast holded up a tournament for partnered teams.
If i was a pro player i would be fuming.
Yet people justify this.
Not mentioning how much cloud 9 got deranked, and mouz lol. Even furia lost a position.
