Ex-washed players

Is there any tier 1 veteran player who reached an insane peak, then drop rating, fall to tier 2, and managed to grind back to tier 1?

Saying his placement in the top 20 list is cope? saying he was "top 11" shows my point better than "he was top 20", since he was only one place away from top 10 vs the assumption that he could've barely made top 20 and be in 20th place. A lot of people also thought device earned top 10 last year, most people putting him above Jame and some putting him above Yekindar. In theory I could've said "and ended up the 11th best player of the year", is that better?

that's why some people opt to say S tier A tier B tier when doing analysis S and A tier are all tier 1 teams, but at the beginning of the year you wouldn't say every G2 and ENCE were on the same level as Navi and Faze but it doesn't mean they weren't tier 1 teams

2022-11-29 23:50

I'd say furia were close/a tiny bit behind G2 and Ence Ence was up and coming until Antwerp, G2 started good then declined until antwerp while Furia were still a contender level playoff team generally top 10 would be A tier, all of them can play or beat one another in close games, but usually A tier does not often challenge S tier which is around top 2 top 4 teams most of the time

The obvious one is HObbit Karrigan had a brief stint in NA with Envy though ppl don’t talk about it before he rebuilt his rep in Mouz. Snappi was in and out of tier 2 and 3 for years before he finally got his big break in Ence. Acor is heading into the direction of getting another tier 1 chance, maybe NiP picks him up or something. Tim and Nitro too I guess, but they were in tier 1 Valorant orgs and returned to CS in tier 1 orgs here. If they continued to play Valorant I’m nearly certain they’d be on a franchise team right now. Especially Nitr0, who was a star player in his own right in his time in Valorant.

Maybe GuardiaN. People started staying he was washed, that he was done between mid 2016 until he joined faze in late 2017. Then he woke up again in faze and was top3 awper in the world again pretty much. Although he wasnt really washed 2016-2017 but alot of ppl said he was and he did have a couple of bad events.

zeus never was a insane player but the history of how he was kicked from Navi and then went to a team that wasn't even in top 20 and managed to win a major with them in less than 1 year is pretty good

Cadian in CS:GO Fckingmad in Dota 2 dominated the whole list though. No one has ever climbed back from being that bad to that good.

nah, they were 2nd best team after sk in 2016, winning 4 lan finals. people just used to shit on them constantly cuz they always expected more, but it was already very hard with growing competition
