mvps should be given only to winners
there should be punishment for statpadding, not reward
also it would motivate more to actually win the event, restructuring the team, so all 5 members of the team takes responsibility of fragging, its a TEAM GAME

2014 - Messi (lost the final)
2010 - Forlan (4th place)
2006 - Zidane (lost the final)
2002 - Kahn (lost the final)
Just last 5 world cups and none of the winner of golden ball was from winning team.
MVP is for the player that was the best and just because you think ZywOo and s1mple statpadding they actually do a lot of work on server (you can see impact rating) why would you give MVP to player from winning team even if there would be great team effort and every player would be with 1.03 rating as you said its team game and because of that they won the tournament but if there is player with 1.30 rating he was clearly better individual player and MVP is for the individuals

Even in Cricket you can get Player of the Series (Equivalent to MVP) even if you lose series....and it's because sometimes just because you lost that doesn't mean you were bad
mate you don't know what you're talking about. In all sports its a possibility. In the NRL 2019 grand final the canberra raiders lost but one of their players got man of the match or MVP. Do you even watch real sport?

I just cant stand someone who hasnt won the tournament get the MAIN award fot that tournament (beside the trophy). How can u be the most, the best of that tournament if u havent even won the trophy? That shit doesnt add up at all. And I dont care about numbers. U are the loser in my book. U can get highest rating award at the end of the year. But whole csgo top pro scene should be focused on winning tournaments, not getting highest ratings for 1 player

Csgo is a teamgame 5vs5. Do u see mvps in football 11vs11 from some losing team? Dont think so. Winners who won championship are rewarded.
Winning is not lottery. Someone is worth MVP. Someone did something great that this team won

Mvps are given for tournaments. For me its weird someone who hasnt won that tournament to get mvp, „‚most”. Its like the word „most” is used for the best, the highest. Its not for 2nd place players. I mean highest rating could be a side reward but not the main reward in my opinion.
Csgo is a team game. Same football. U can compare both and I dont see losers get rewards. They only get consolidation rewards like most goals, most assist etc.
Also, some basics. If u won u MUST HAVE provided some value, and losing team lacked some value. Thats why most valuable player should be picked from the winning team

They all got higher rating than me, but they lose more matches than me
So in current state of awarding players they deserve it more cause they got higher rating

my man, s1mple statpads not because he needs mvp but because he has a race to lose with ZywOo going on every year. so if we exclude "mvp"s from tournaments at all, he'd statpad anyway, you get it? so in his example he statpads for top-1 but what about others? they're completely the same, Ax1le needs it for top-5 + he's high sens player (perfect fit for eco), i.e. because of RATING. you have personal rating for team game, that's the problem. noone wants to be a 0.99 guy.
we've seen things like "supports won't be kicked because of bad stats", yes of course.. where's SANJI? where's Lack1? kicked.
