Gaming PC has: R5 3600 16 gigs at 3200 1060 6 gig (OC's af to be on par with 1070) SSD as boot drive, couple of hard drives Rendering PC: R7 1700x 8 gigs at 2133 (but DDR3 timings) GPU is 7750, a 45W GPU that's like a decade old but does what needs to be done as CPU is doing all the rendering and GPU is irrelevant. This is just a workhorse made to do CPU rendering so nothing else matters on it, I don't even have an SSD on that because when my render times are 3-8 hours - booting it 20 seconds faster makes zero difference. And it's not even rendering from files on it's own internal storage, it's from network. I plan to upgrade both CPU's next year to 3900 or 3950, move 1060 to a rendering PC to expand on what I do and get like a 3070 level GPU for my gaming PC. R5 3600 is just not sufficient for editing 1440p videos, it works, but it's slow af whenever you move something or god forbid you want to play 2 1440p sources at the time on the timeline.
