if you're into psychological horror then I recommend the cube (1997), it's fucking phenomenal don't watch the sequel tho it sucks omega dick if you're into anime ghost in the shell (the original japanese anime version that is)

i don't watch too many movies tbh, but akira kurosawa makes some phenomenal work that influenced a lot of western artists (the hidden fortress is a big influence on star wars f.e.) more anime recommendations are akira and a lot of studio ghibli's work (spirited away, princess mononoke etc.)

Hotel Mumbai . It is not a masterpiece but a nice movie about terrorism. Sure, it is a bit propaganda movie about Pakistan, but if you leave this behind, it is a "fun" movie.

I can rationally say that it´s not real, but when were dreams ever rational? I can´t stomach cruelty and torture, had nightmares for 3 weeks after i read (book, not film) American Psycho. (That book was insanely well written and only went overboard 100 pages in - when you where hooked by the good story/writing)
