Quality of life is better in almost every single European country.. after taxes, Europeans have more money in the pocket than Americans, that's for sure. USA is a falling empire, while the old continent is steady af.. and American education is failed btw, or why do you think the entire world calls them "dumb americans?"

For median disposable income PPP (accounts for all living costs, most accurate for material well being) , Americans are the richest in the world.
With that QoL index, the most comprehensive in the world, Americans are above the majority of EU.
I know Italy has a 3rd world education but this is genuinely making me sad… mentally stunted for life. No wonder your country is poor.

very US response, we pay the same taxes as you, but we have a much lower cost of living so it pretty much balances out. For example, home ownership in us is 65.5% and in estonia it's 81.6%, with so much disposable income, why don't you just buy a house? it's because everything costs 10x more in us than it does in estonia..
the tax calculator might confuse you, your employer pays a huge portion of your taxes here and you yourself pay about 25%

I don't know for which degree but as an Italian, I say that in GENERAL there is a lot of theory instead of practice about any topic, myb Germany is more practical. But as far as I know, the Italian degrees are well seen by people for the about of workload that they give us. That is from my experience, maybe another Italian will say differently

Currently doing an exchange in Milan as part of my masters.
Language wise, barely anyone speaks English so you definitely need to know some Italian. Job wise, this might depend on your field of study but in general it isn't easy to get one and the average salary is pretty low. Of course Italy has better food, weather, etc. but career wise it's not very good

Yeah that's true, most professors and a lot of Italian students have decent English. It's just the general population like the barber, the person behind the counter in a supermarket, etc. that you can barely communicate with
True, but in Brussels it's mainly because most people speak French and don't want to learn English (just like people in France). The Dutch speaking part of Belgium generally speaks English pretty well
