Again, another bullshit. The meaning of "fire hazard" is a buzzword, it just means that TO's have to put effort into building exits and equipment designed to prevent and deal with fires. You know What else is a fire hazard? An entire ENCLOSED ARENA that has FIRE SPEWING AT THE END OF EACH BOMB EXPLOSION. But the arena is designed in a way to prevent said fires, so need the booths. It takes money? Yes, is it expensive? Yes. But it is like this in any sort of music festival that is enclosed. Just google it and you'll see dozens of people that died in some fire in a random enclosed club.
TL;DR: Soundproof booths work, they are as much of a fire hazard as any enclosed space event and the reason they aren't used whatosever is just.. money
So casters, analysts and random opinionators can just stop spreading BS.

This shouldn't be about liking or not, its subjective.
IF THE TO's care about info spreading through, sound of footsteps being maked and all this shit, they'll put booths in.
If not, be it for money or for laziness, they won't.

CS crowds are bigger than ever, therefore, louder than ever. Just look at Cologne and Rio, seems like a lot of the time when the crowd gets loud the players can barely hear the game itself...

Remove headphones and make them play without sound, only hearing the crowd.

It's about fairness so TO can dictate it.
They need to have something. In the blast tourney and the Major, there were a couple of times they had a replay of the teams, in a round, with them talking in game. You could clearly hear the crowd. I’d bet they can hear the crowd when they start with the “ohhhhhh” when someone is getting snuck up on. In the blast tournament there was a player, I forget what team but the map was ancient. He started looking around all crazy when the crowd started doing that.

If you aren't deaf, you can hear that the inside of the booths in the video when the crowd is making noise is inaudible(without any noise cancelling headphones mind you), thats a physical proof, and you can cry about it as much as you want. I even made the courtesy for you to check the minute when that happens.
The following pro in question didn't say specifically that he likes it, but instead, that he doesn't hear anything. Which, since ropz is a normal human being and not deaf, is evidence that booths do indeed work. Its just an additional piece of dialogue because people like to quote that "pros said it" then i give a reversal to that kind of argument.

berlin major 2019 used soundproof booths, the blasts used it aswell in that year.

its about games integrity and maximum performance from both teams, if the crowd is so loud the legit strat is run they cant hear you rush, then the tournament doesn't feel like the top of the world experience and competition, its just a clown show. We should value the integrity of tournament above all else.

FaZe literally took advantage of this, Remember the last round of Nuke where Twistz runs on top of Silo onto Annex and Electronic fails to hear anything. Even a game like DOTA which doesnt rely on sound even they get soundproof booths meanwhile CS:GO which is completely dependant on sound doesn't lmao these event organisers are a joke who don't want to put in any effort.
Then i can see Brazil not being happy with this decision cos none of their team will qualify to majors if they were not able to help them with noise.
Brazil doesnt even deserve to host any majors the crowd is literally 3rd class with 0 integrity.
