Damn could be quite interesting to see then. And also I just can't help but feel like it's too much of a waste for a rifler as good as REZ to be on the AWP, over time he'll definitely evolve as an awper but atm his capabilities as a rifler are way higher.

He main awped in flowskola and Galaxy racer before the Scammin. So he started his career as main AWP and was great at it. Chawzyyy only took it after Joel left and he was better then. Joel has been great with the AWP as secondary in Monte as well

in order for that to happen you'd need federations picking each country's lineup, and some rules for that to avoid all of Spain being Movistar Riders etc etc Also, one of BLAST/ESL to host it since if any other TO does it it'll collide with the former's tournaments and fewer good pros would want to attend it

and why exactly would you need restrictions how many players can come from each team ? if it's decided that those 5 players are best players to represent your country. some countries are forced to compete with secondary roster while other countries having their top roster ?

because then a team with connections can just influence how the roster is getting picked? Heroic is objectively better than Astralis right now, but Astralis is the bigger and richer org so they could easily just influence the federation to have a team with 5 Astralis players. Limiting a team to having 2-3 players on the nation's roster would avoid that

In many popular sports the world cup type of events have had trouble getting started and get best players to participate. Something like Ice hockey still has it when NA teams don't want to let the players go even to olympics. I respect them for trying to organize csgo world cup. If anyone does not try, we will never get anything relevant in that regard. Its not like teams will one day say that they want to "give 3 weeks more holiday to their players, please somebody organise a world cup event to this period."
