I enjoyed the grind too and I genuinely love music so I had a great time at the gym. When I say it's a waste of time I'm talking about it not being very productive, much like playing video games. I guess it all started when I was in high school and skinny as a twig, I wanted a nice body. I worked out consistently for over a decade so my goals changed quite a bit throughout that time period. I went from 6'2 160 to about 200lbs lean. I was into powerlifting for strength like you, I liked sprints for cardio and I was really enjoying stretching and gaining flexibility towards the end. I haven't been to the gym in almost 5 years and I don't miss it all. But the point I was making about the gym and girls, is that I never got any girls just because I had a nicer body. To get girls easier you need resources, social skills and social status. Just increasing your body isn't gonna help you like so many young men think. They're thinking through the perspective of what men desire and that's a body, a girl could easily improve her dating options from going to the gym, girls don't need money or social skills/status to get a date, they just need to look attractive. But that's not how girls view men, they're not wired the same way as us.
