hyperx cloud 2, cheap and reliable i love this headset. dont use the rubber covers when u get it, use the fluffy ones

I don't recall changing any settings for my Cloud 2, you should be fine with default. Just don't enable surround sound from headset controller.

default is fine, don't use the 7.1 surround thing on the controller. if you have an external dac they will sound marginally better but it's no issue really if you care a lot about sound quality, you can use PEACE APO and these github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/tree/mas.. filters

Make sure to not have 7.1 surround enabled, other than that you will hear steps crystal clear with the cloud 2

beyerdynamic MMX 300 GOATED headset. super clear, fantastic mic. great sound for music (better than any gamer company crap I tried). please do yourself a favor and buy from audio-focused companies not gaming accessory companies.

I think the beyerdynamic MMX 300 costs over 80€. The MMX 100 version costs just under 100€. And I agree that you should by from audio-focused companies, like, beyerdynamic, AKG, sennheiser, etc. Gaming focused headphones aren't good sound quality wise.

If you want a pair of inexpensive headphones that are better then basically every gaming set on the market and cost next to nothing buy a pair of Phillips SHP9500. You can get a v-moda mic for an extra 20 bucks. I mean that too. Maybe a couple of the Sennheiser headsets are better but they shit on something like the HyperX. The hyperX is literally just a re-branded takstar 80. It's not the worst thing on the planet but it's not much better.
