Fellow Liquid fans,
 |
United States McBubba
How are we feeling about the final event of the season? If I’m perfectly honest I think Liquid will look great in the group stage, but once in playoffs, they’ll falter. Feels like a mental issue. Would love to hear others thoughts on this! Signed, A delusional Liquid fan.

don‘t really know where your take that liquid is worse in playoffs is coming from They reached the final in EPL, where they looked way better in playoffs than in groups. They failed in Rio groups and lost to a strong heroic in blast

It just seems that EliGE disappears in big matches, and liquids greatest strength atm is that EliGE Yekindar combo.

Doesn't really matter since he doesn't own a huge portion. It's more a sign of respect from the org. I do think EliGE isn't going anywhere though. He'll retire before he is kicked.

This means nothing, remember that whole nonsense about Astralis being a player owned org? See #86, even owning a few percent let’s you be called a “co-owner”
2022-12-08 18:42
he doesn't own the organization, i don't know why Dexerto made that dogshit clickbait article. EliGE (like many other people in the world) own equity in the company he works for. that makes him a co-owner even if he only owns .1% of the total valuation of the company also, Bjergsen "owned" a part of TSM and still left the org. don't conflate retail investment with business membership

Liquid has been around for so long and elige has been a star player for years. When will they finally reverse the fortunes and become the clutch ones? When will elige make the youngsters on the opposing team afraid to play him?

Nah man, saying that faze or navi are tier below outsiders based on one event is nonsense. I believe vp haven't won a single map against navi since 2020. And if you dont remember outsiders played against navi at the rmr and they got smashed.

Outsiders at the moment is definetely better than Navi. Outside of the RMR navi have looked bad. I dont mean bad like Astralis, but compared to how they should be performing they look bad. They dont look top 5 anymore, they look low top 10. I mean they lost to nip at blast. Outsiders won the Major, and at the very least that puts them above Navi. Given that we havent seen them since we cant really compare them to Faze, but they look like the more tactically sound team.

Outsiders won the Major, and at the very least that puts them above Navi. We have different opinions on this, outsiders got lucky with bracket and that all favourites flopped. They only beat mouz, fnatic and heroic in playoffs. How does this put them above navi? The only legit team outsiders beat at the major was heroic. Vitality, as time has shown just fluked epl, were garbage before spinx and still are. Navi lost to nip cuz s1mple was butthurring whole game

Navi dont look like top5 anymore Idk about you, but i struggle to list objective top5 list except for faze and heroic. Faze Heroic ??? ??? ??? 1) cloud9 are shaky, can beat faze and lose to literally anyone, victories against faze and navi didn't look convincing. 2) Outsiders still unproven, they are a top-10, but are they really top5? Don't think so, calling them top5 after beating easy teams would be wrong 3) Liquid can beat Navi, but able to lose to mid spirit. G2 is trash so it's not really an achievement 4) Vita frauds 5)mouz overperformed massively in my opinion 6) furia not really a top team 7) navi shaky

Given how easily Outsiders beat Heroic at the major I'd say they're top 5, but only time will tell. and I'd say Liquid has the edge over the likes of Navi and C9 based on the fact that they seem to have both those team's numbers. and then I think C9 is 5th. But yeah it's hard, I dont think we've seen enough tier 1 events from any of these teams recently to realistically rank them
2022-12-08 01:26
Theyll make finals copium
2022-12-07 17:26

This is EliGE’s chance to redeem himself. If he owns in groups and chokes in playoffs again, then I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s on his way out. They will probably let him play Katowice tho, which is fair enough

Dude, I think we'll look great in the group stage like you said. We will even think that we can easily win the tournament and then we will falter! But I believe it won't be like this this time (I want to believe it.) This time I hope we can win the tournament if they have solved the problems. For example, if they have solved the problems with the Vertigo, the inconsistency problems of Elige and Osee, etc., we can easily win. Also, it would be much better if they give star positions to NAF. Cause he's so consistent and a real GOAT
