furia actually needs a decent awper, and i think sunpayus is a good choice, i mean, he is very consistent
maybe the only problem is the language barrier, but i think in 1 month training he can manage to understand at least 80% of what are they saying

to be honest, i think it`s depend, i never had that problem to understand, only when they speak too fast, i think its the same case for you. Its 2 languages way too similar, i can associate easily their sentences with portuguese
I am Brazilian and live in Barcelona and I can say that although I can understand/read a good amount of Castellano and Català, speaking those languages is another thing. In my work I use English, so I am only slowly learning how to speak the local languages.

People underestimate how hard speaking can be. Although there are examples that work just fine really fast if the person is motivated. For instance, nqz (Brazilian) had to put a lot of time into learning how to speak Spanish after joining 9z, and now works super well for them.
There isn't a language called Brazilian they speak the same Language as Portugal

As other people said, Spanish and Portuguese are pretty closely related. The closest analogy we have in English is Scots, which is a language still spoken in parts of rural Scotland, but it's still closer to English than Spanish/Portuguese. Spanish and Portuguese split ~1200 AD while English and Scots split ~1400 AD. Already somewhat mutually intelligible with effort, but it would take effort to understand it

I think FalleN is the move if he's still motivated to play. Saffee always strikes me as being a bit lost in this system, especially since he oftentimes has to play more passively than he was used to. FalleN should in theory perform in his own system, and he might even be a better IGL still than arT. Two birds one stone.

language barrier isnt a thing between portuguese and spanish. i can understand it even though i haven't focused on studying. the grammar, sentence structure, verbs and tenses are very similar. also spaniards usually say they understand a brazilian who's speaking portuguese quite easy.
but personally, i don't know how I'd feel about this move. I think nqz would be the best move either way

Maybe it is easy for Brazilians to learn Spanish, but in other ways for Spanish people to learn Portuguese, I don't think that's easy.
And SunPayus isn't s1mple so you sacrifice the language barrier for 1 player, I think there is enough talent in the Brazilian scene to replace saffee if it's even needed to do that.

Try is from Falklands colony so I can imagine he used to play in Brazilian servers and was more used to see people talking in portuguese, also he already played with brazilians in 9z and had an analyst and coach that were brazilians.

Portuguese, spanish and italian are similar so you can, moreless, understand better than other languages from other mothers, but even with that, there are a lot of words, callouts and shit that's gonna be completely opposite, so you're right is not that ez when you are under pressure and need to give info in less than a second.

I can agree that's the case with Maluk3, for example, or even junior or oSee. But when PaiN had the opportunity to play international teams he didn't usually fade out in the server. I really expected more of him =/
I think the problem is that in all these cases the team played around the awper, putting him in star positions, and that's just not how FURIA does things.

Yeah, I know, I asked if you had anyone specific in mind, that would fit well in their system, their personalities, etc.
I don't think chelo would work, and Lucaozy would be SICK, but FURIA is just never going to pay his transfer fee hahaha but Felps could be interesting. As a positive side effect, it would force arT to be more passive and focus on the team, which I think would be a very good change.
I also see dumau as a possibility, because I just don't think this 00 thing is going to work, and then FURIA is the only project as big as that for him to move (unless he goes international, he speaks very good english as well). I like him a lot, I seriously think he has the potential to be better than cold in his prime.

I think these 3 (felps, lucaozy and chloe) fit the bill, dumau am still skeptical on his performance since felps left godsent.
felps maybe to much agressive, they don't need another guy pushing every round.
i think lucaozy and chelo would be the best options considering they're both great b side players.

I agree, I think a roster with everyone, including the coach, being from the same country is a problem because there's no one to 'shake things up' a little, and that creates a group of high highs and low lows. Just see the difference in Liquid before and after Yekindar. And he said that in interviews, that he feels he brings a different energy and style of thinking that are good for the team.
sunpayus need a team who sets him up so he can perform, that will never happens under arT's igling
I agree that sadly, saffee didn't bring what everyone expected it would for FURIA, and that without a third strong fragger they won't be able to compete in tier1. But a player from a different culture, language and playstyle is not the solution.
I think a lot about nqz, but I have a strong fear that the immense amount of pressure could get in his head like after try went from 9z to 00nation.
Anyway, the true change needed is FURIA hiring a general manager to actually estabilish a long-term strategy that goes beyond the immediate desires of the roster, and force arT and guerri to have accountability in their role in fulfilling that strategy (or being replaced by someone who does).
But that is not happening anyway, because BR orgs are mostly founded, idealized and operated as hype brands, instead of professional competitive sports organizations.

i dont think changing the awper will really work (unless maybe they get HEN1 again). furia doesnt really know how to integrate an awper into their system. they really need way more fundamental changes to how they play as a team than just swapping awpers.

a player ( fer ) that considers stop playing during an event is useless bc he needs to be hard carried by his teammates. they should keep drop. fallen could boost them but he seeems tired ( and considers only to play one more year ) . winning trophies might not happen.

From all the possible changes they could make, this is probably the one with the highest chances of success, with that said, I don't think they should make any changes now, they played great at the major (showed that they are already capable of beating any team) and -D2 +Anubis should make them even stronger, so wouldn't make any sense to change players now
