5600x is better cuz l3 cache 32mb> 18mb i5 12400. U need more l3 cache for games like csgo for better fps

AM4 better platform, 12400F better CPU. Simply faster Here also a list of best CPUs for csgo right now: 7950X and other 7000 Gen 13900K and lower 12900K and lower Ryzen 5950X - 5600

judging by fps tests, it is obvious that in CS (CS alone however) the Zen 4 AMD CPUs are convincingly beating Raptor Lake Intel CPUs

5600x dead end platform, weak IMC, bad quality control, SAME thermals - despite investing into 420mm custom aio, ryzen 5900x will reach temps of 85-90 degrees when playing NFS heat for 20+ mins. Not a single amd fanboy mentions that. Shitty air cooler will have the same result. With intel youll get 50-60 degrees in nfs heat/battlefield/frostbite games and the better your cooling is the better temps will be. Just make sure to buy an msi motherboard, they have the best memory overclocking capabilities. I prefer I-versions cuz more pcb layers = better ram oc. Ram oc is really important especially for budget chips like 12400f. The faster your cps runs out of cache, the more ram matters. It will matter less on lets say 13900k. Also with intel cpus if you have a bad luck (weak memory controller or shitty sample with high voltage req) you can always overvolt it and kill it and return it. Thats how i binned my 10900k, my ram kit runs at 4700cl17, core 5400 uncore 5100. Beats the shit out of 5950x in warzone in 1% lows. TLDR lga1700 more futureproof and better overall but might cost more, am4 dead

Well I've been playing cs since 2012, was 3k elo playing solo 95% of the time, but now I'd rather play warzone than cs, what's wrong with that? The game is much more interesting and relaxing
2022-12-08 12:34
Good is always relative. If you are silver, a dmg is a pro player for you. But if you are facet level 10 2000 elo a semi pro 4500 elo is a pro for you. For me good is faceit level 10 SOLOQ to 2500 elo. Since you are better than 99% of all the cs go players and you can face pro players in 1vs 1 even tho you have no chance against a pro team.
2022-12-08 12:40
What do you mean by good/bad? I beat csgo multiple times with pistols and shotguns only, when i played faceit back in 2016 i had a kd of 1.5 and winrate of 72% And i did not say that i play warzone but thats something popular and cpu heavy so thats why i mentioned it. Btw i can tell you have never been good at videogames - relying only on placing crosshair in the same spot does some bad things for your aim, i dont even play kovaacs but ull never hit my tracking scores thats for sure.

Better invest in research. They're made that way. And you won't see any thermal throttling with these temps. Better cooler just gives more headroom for cpu to push more and thats what it does. If you want significantly lower temps with no or very little performance sacrifice you should use PBO and Curve Optimizer.

Done one. Now you buy an 5600/900x/7 series, play need for speed for 20+ minutes and bring me the results. I expect ~85 degrees while only consuming 60 watts , all of that on a 420mm custom loop. And the same result on an air cooler from aliexpress - but only after long sessions of gameplay. If you only play for a few minutes then i agree, aio will show way better results.

ofc 12400f its cheaper newer better and its intel , buy 5600x = u have outdated motherboard without support for next gens 0 reasons to buy 5600x , even 12100f is same as 5600x but 12100f is 90 euro and motherboard 50

With that cheap components you will be limited as hell. Good luck installing fast ram. For cs go doesnt matter tho since i can run it with 100 fps in a 2005 dual core.

wdym cheap components lmao ?? 12100f + h510 is 3% lower fps at csgo than 5600x with 150eur outdated motherboard and its in csgo in some games it even have more fps , why are u arguing if 5600x is 0 reasons to buy

Buying 50 euros motherboard? Never a good idea. I didnt say a word about 5600x vs 12100f. Just buy a decent motherboard for the 12100f, with 50 euros you will get a cardboard. And the ram is much more expensive too, ddr5. Btw 12100f is a quad core, i repeat a quad core in 2022, i would chose 5600x every day of the week, 5 years from now both pc would be ass anyway. For cs go i already said, its an amazing option, since it runs on potatoes. (bestest option for cheap mf, buy old dell pc with i5 for 100$, install 150 graphic card, ez 300 fps in cs go.)

If you decide on AMD, get the regular 5600 if you can. It's cheaper and the performance is exactly the same.
2022-12-08 12:42
5600x , but with 12400f u can upgrade to 13400f
2022-12-08 12:43
5600 but see if you can find a deal on 5800x3D. That's a beast cpu for the money and regularly goes on sale
2022-12-08 13:14
5600 >
2022-12-08 13:23
They are very similar in performance and price. With Intel you can still upgrade to 13 generation Intel cpus.
2022-12-08 23:14
Ryzen much better for CSGO (and generally)
2022-12-08 23:19
arm cpu bestest
2022-12-09 05:18
ryzen more fps, i5 less latency so i'd say i5 is better because fps are enough anyway and your latency is lower
2022-12-10 02:45
both strong , i own 5600x in csgo 700fps average with 1660 ti
