5600x dead end platform, weak IMC, bad quality control, SAME thermals - despite investing into 420mm custom aio, ryzen 5900x will reach temps of 85-90 degrees when playing NFS heat for 20+ mins. Not a single amd fanboy mentions that. Shitty air cooler will have the same result. With intel youll get 50-60 degrees in nfs heat/battlefield/frostbite games and the better your cooling is the better temps will be. Just make sure to buy an msi motherboard, they have the best memory overclocking capabilities. I prefer I-versions cuz more pcb layers = better ram oc. Ram oc is really important especially for budget chips like 12400f. The faster your cps runs out of cache, the more ram matters. It will matter less on lets say 13900k. Also with intel cpus if you have a bad luck (weak memory controller or shitty sample with high voltage req) you can always overvolt it and kill it and return it. Thats how i binned my 10900k, my ram kit runs at 4700cl17, core 5400 uncore 5100. Beats the shit out of 5950x in warzone in 1% lows. TLDR lga1700 more futureproof and better overall but might cost more, am4 dead

If you decide on AMD, get the regular 5600 if you can. It's cheaper and the performance is exactly the same.

i cap at 400 but when i had a 5600x and rtx 3060 it always stayed at the 399 cap even with lots of smokes etc, uncapped it was 700-850 constant
