The issue Americans have with esports games in general is that they don’t have the discipline, they think it’s some video game. Not enough effort and the smarter people maybe don’t even play it, could be, yes. Mobas even worse, NA is atrocious in League for example. Tbh EU is not competitive as well, as of last Worlds at least

Americans can play fps titles just look at CoD, Halo, R6, Overwatch, Valorant, Apex etc… The only popular one we’re not good at is CSGO. And even with basically no player base we still have a tier 1 team and a major under our belt It’s not discipline we just don’t care about CSGO. No future in it for players. That simple.

They dont ignore it cause they're bad at it. Rather they pay attention to games played and streamed by streamers. Games with more presence on Youtube and twitch. It's why Valo and League are so popular, because they are played by every big streamer and CS and Dota and such are ignored. It's simple. The more popular game wins. The awards are a popularity contest and when a game is more popular people are going to vote for it. I guarantee you the votes werent people going "y'know I think LOUD was really good this year and should win", it was "Hey I really like watching Tarik play Valorant, and LOUD's representing Valorant, so why not vote for them". and how entertaining a game is is up to the person. Like how Europeans love Soccer and Americans find it boring. Or how Southeast Asia loves Cricket but literally no one else cares. In the end these awards arent really about who is the "best", but about who is the most popular.
