Apparently, Katowice 2023 invites are prioritised like this:
Main event invites:
**Big event winners** (Rio Major, Cologne, EPL)
—-> **Top 1-5 World Rankings**
—-> **Top 8 from Play-In**.
Then for the Play-In invites: **Regional Rankings**
—-> **Top 6-11 World Rankings**
—-> **Direct Qualifier events**.
(I’m 99% sure that these are the correct teams but not totally sure on the seeding between the top ranked play-in teams. Current seeding is taken from the current/yesterday’s ESL rankings (except paiN and EG), so there could be seeding changes between the likes of Heroic, Liquid, Cloud9, G2 and more.)
