Learning Japanese problem
Asia KONATANEETZUMI 
I can't play games or watch anime/japkino with English subs anymore. I know enough Japanese to where I can't enjoy them because of so many translation errors. Hopefully, by the end of next year I can actually play games without relying too much on a dictionary.

translating is not an easy job to do. you can't just learn a language for 5 years, walk in, translate a sentence, and be proud of what you done. some things are just untranslatable and requires precise vocabulary to get the exact tone. there's a reason why like half of the population is bilingual yet translators are still in demand

you're missing out big time if you learned japanese only for the games and anime. movie is alright though(love kurosawa) read akutagawa and kawabata's work in the original language. i'll throw in soseki and ranpo too. four of my favorite japanese authors. glad i have the chance to read it without any translations.
