under 26 while studying u dont have to pay taxes when ur getting paid for the job so its not bad, after 26 yo its hard tbh xd

Its not hard after 26. Right now is kinda hard because of inflation etc but 2010-2020 was fvckin amazing. Market for everything was growing really fast and You didnt even needed money to start a business. All You had to do was beeing creative and follow the trends. I know few people who started with 10k pln and did some online businesses with great results. I started from nothing and I earn more in a month than normal polish person in a year. In countries like Poland You could do literally everything, all You needed was a plan and thats it. Even with 0 money You could start something because of money from EU or bank loan. Lets face it, people who work for 4k pln a month are just lazy people who have 0 passion, 0 ideas and 0 dedication.

The last decade was not amazing for anyone but coping Polaks. You’re all delusional. It’s one of the poorest countries in Europe. That’s why you all escape to Germany whenever possible.

Last decade in Poland was really great. Poland was growing really fast which means market was going crazy for everything, housing, online shoping, premium products, literally everything. You could open a bakery in new residential area with great products and every1 would buy. Stupid example but 20 years ago it was impossible to do because people were doo damn poor. In last 10 years Poland was no.1 country in Europe who sold most premium cars like Mercedes, BMW etc. because of it you could do anything with a little idea, people wanted to spent that money and they needed a reason

germans in ww2 didnt care if all polish ppl were facist or not, we were suppose to just serve or die, russians wanted to break our whole country for like 40 years, u either were a communist and were suppose to change or die, in other worlds germans just wanted to have our land, russians wanted to kill polish tradition and for whole country to forget that we are polish

i am 25 from uk and want to move to poland, i am eligible for citizenshipp through polish grandfather i make money online so i am not concerned about job, and i know i will be able to get property easier than i can in england, i have always loved polish people but i am not very connected with polish communtiy , i do not know the language so i will learn is there anything i should be aware of? will i be welcome as an english immigrant? what city is best? i think i will study there first too - i did not get a university degree when i was young and cost of tuition is cheaper there also

Here, 80% people speak some english, nearly every young person speak decent. If you dont make problems like valdalism etc, You are welcome in Poland, as English immigrant - a lot of Poles works abroad, so we know how to be immigrant. If you like big city (on a Polish scale), I recommend you Gdańsk, Warsaw, Wrocław or Poznań - I study here. There are many universities in these cities.
2023-01-07 02:18
#80 said 80% speak english, I disagree In big cities like Krakow and Warsaw people speak english, maybe 60% in more village areas, towns and small cities however, people do not speak english. they may know a few words or basics, but aint no way they can hold a conversation for more than 30 secs also you should look at the Katowice and the area nearby (also known as GOP), fast growing cities and way cheaper than Krakow or Warsaw (i live in this area so if you have any questions dm me)

In my hometown, medium-sized city (under 100k citizens), a lot of people can communicate in English. For example - my own grandmother attends a school for pensioners where she has been learning English with her class for several years. Another example, my girlfriend lives in the countryside and she and her friends have been learning English for many years and can speak it well. Of course - older people will communicate much less (or at all), than younger people, which sometimes can be a problem. In big cities, the majority of people under 35 years old, can communicate in English
2023-01-07 02:56

I have different experiences, but fair enough. Maybe it's area dependent, or family dependent, or something else-dependent. The only thing that I think we can agree on is that we don't speak as much english as people do in the West (Germany, Netherlands, Norway etc.) pozdro <3
2023-01-07 04:57
1 reply
Yeah - Nethrrlands, the Scandinavian region, people there are better at English than Poles. But on the other hand, countries such as Germany, France, the region of Iberia, the Balkans or Italy - they are faithful to their language and the number of people who can communicate in English is much lower than in Poland. Pozdro mate, have a nice day!

This area is maybe decent to visit for some time but living here is unimaginable for me unless you pick some very specific place. City centers are loud and there is really nothing to go and see except maybe bars and drinking spots, or crakchouses when you unlock them. If you want to live outside of central area - you will mostly end up in place like this: youtube.com/@VirtualPerception/videos (actual footage of couple neighbouring towns). My city of choice is Danzig and I don't think there is any better palce to live in this country atm.
2023-01-07 13:43
like 90% of people under 20yo speaks english on a decent level at least, but yeah the older people you meet the chances of them knowing english shrink

Main cities are Gdańsk, Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław. In terms of city architecture and stuff, Kraków is the purest (in terms of real "polish" style without german influences). For food it doesn't matter. Kraków also is close to Wieliczka and Auschwitz. You can travel by train if you don't like driving.

I recommend Wroclaw....

Ty! I'd love to check either of them out! And for reference, I'm going to either Munich or Nuremberg, neither of which are super close to the border. Idc too much about distance, especially since Europeans have a super different since of scale. A 10+ hour drive isn't too bad for me, and I do that almost twice/month

You can always go by bus/train. They are quite cheap, but it's a bit time consuming to travel like that.

It all depends from the airport I guess. Sometimes flies without baggage are like 30€ and sometimes 500 at least. It's like in the us i would say

It depends on many factors, as in any country. However, foreigners have it easier.
