s1mple did not have the same luxuries of having a remotely competent team in 2014 (Don't even compare it to any of zywoos teams in 2019 the teams s1mple were on were terrible.) and got 1.14 rating. At 17 years old bro was already dropping insane numbers. Its simple: Zywoo is an amazing talent, but s1mple is the goat and if you think otherwise its just ignorant to think in this point in time considering all the stats we have. Look at his personal achievements, his peak, his longevity. Managed top 1 this year despite his country literally going through a brutal war where he couldn't even know his family is safe. And that is his third 1st place, and you can easily argue s1mple should have won in 2020 as their numbers were that incredibly similar.

I mean Zywoo had to adapt to a new language, new coaching, another playstyle... You are forgetting how the changes are affecting gameplay. Not saying that the ukrainian war doesn't affect his gameplay but they both had troubles in their own way, one with personal problems and the other with in-game difficulties.

s1mple had his own in game challenges too. And quite honestly, changing languages is difficult and something I wouldn’t want to do, but the Ukraine thing was a whole new level of fucked. Not to mention, s1mple had plenty of in game problems in his earlier years. I know they were more self inflicted due to his attitude and such, but he was quite an outcast character. Even with his great performances, s1mple was not someone all of his teammates respected at the time that they would rather downgrade the team just to not team with him. Yet instead of giving up despite the stigma around him, he just got better and better all while becoming a better person (*Much less toxic in game is what I’m mainly focusing on*) Also, about the whole language thing. S1mple did that with team liquid in 2016 dingus. He moved across the Earth from his family and still shit on dudes. What more must I say to convince you

no, since 2019 and zywoo plays in tier vs s1mple, they have equal top1/top2 and MVPs, on average s1mple has have a better team so easier to get better stats + zywoo is younger so he will have better top20 placments and mvp soon ;)

they did in 2017 tho. he also had support of guardian and flamie who were top 20 players in 2016. whatever way we look, zywoo had less support and performed better. he is a top 2 player minimum ever since he started playing t1 events and nver dropped below that. s1mple reached top 5 in 2016a nd then dropped to top 8 when he had a bad team. only after electronic joined he became top 2 player.
