I am looking forward to getting an ultrawide for my next monitor. I plan to stretch 16:9 onto to it for something like 4:3 stretched on a normal monitor.

I think native 32:9 is somewhat cool. I personally play on 1080p native and don't mind to try 32:9. You can find CSGO gameplay on Samsung Odyssey G9 (32:9). youtu.be/Z3dzCl3-rSo Looks dope. Ofc I would also adjust the HUD more to the center and sit closer (wish it had more curvature and 240hz) upd: Samsung do have 49" Odyssey G9 OLED 1440p 240hz but the curvature is the same as in the video. I think I would try it out at the store maybe it's not an issue at all

that hud looks like a nightmare. hud should be 16:9 dimensions and the extra space just used for peripheral vision.

there was a time when you could use 21:9 in csgo and when you watch the videos it looks so good. I hate Valve to not implementing it. In Dota it is there since source2 came

That is the reason why Valve didn't add it yet Cuz 21:9 screens would have an advantage when it also support 21:9 "The Advantages of using 16:9 Stretched in 21:9 Monitor FOV are still wide like 16:9 But Player models are almost wide as 4:3 Stretched"

don't know what you mean but 21:9 was possible in 2018 for 3-4 months with an extern tool. It was never officially supported in CSGO.

I play better on 16:9/16:10 for some (weird) reason and only the time showed it. But on 4:3 I feel like I play better (still in the long term I lose ELO)

1920vs1440 is the goat resolution on a 240hz 1440p monitor. graphics look great and like a game that was actually made in the last 10 years compared to playing on low resolutions and looking like a game from 2008. the only problem is you see how shit some of the skins are because of their low res textures..

easier to hit HS at distance with higher resolution. instead of a blur, you actually see heads. modern PCs have no problem pumping out 400 FPS at that resolution either.

Then plz explain why most pro's use low res although having a 3090 or better GPU (with the exception of streamers). Its a lot easier for the eyes having less detail to focus on. prosettings.net/lists/cs-go/

first of all, they play on 1080p monitors, you can't play the resolution I listed on a 1080p monitor. secondly, pros are kinda dumb and stuck in their ways, much like boomers, they fear change. the krieg meta is proof of this, the gun was always superior yet nobody touched it because "pros don't use it". thirdly, the highest 4:3 stretched you can use on a 1080p monitor is 1440x1080 which is not really a noticeable difference between 1290x960. you're welcome.
