They are classified as “weapons” together with push daggers, OTF’s and Autos over 8.5cm of blade length. There isn’t any official reason why, but since unlike the with other banned knives there isn’t any conceivable argument why they may be more dangerous to a third person than a regular knife, my guess is that too many idiots hurt themselves with them.

I mean, Germany already has some of the most restrictive Gun laws in Europe yet our Minister of the interior is planning to ban semi-automatic guns in general now. Banning stuff instead of enforcing proper, regulated access is just seen as the better solution for many problems I guess

Gun laws here really suck. For ppl who need guns, like hunters, it gets more and more difficult while it stays ez to get guns for ppl who commit crimes. I nearly got into serious trouble with the police a couple years ago for carrying a Leatherman on my belt. Reason for it to be seen as an illegal weapon here is that you can unfold the knife with the thumb, according to the cops. You get treated the same for carrying a Leatherman Surge here as if you just got caught carrying a handgun, which is quite retarded. I was lucky to get a chill officer who liked it as a nice and handy tool as I do but warned me to not carry it outside my home.

balisongs or any non-fixed blade knife (i have a benchmade 87 and it's great), a high quality pen (I have a tactile turn titanium and it's very nice), I used to carry a big old blue and gold novelty air force coin but I don't anymore, but a novelty coin is cool to hold I also have a simple titanium ring that I take off and mess with sometimes
