Just happy that he's finally getting some S-Tier / A-Tier tournament medals under his belt. As he's aged I was rather worried that he may never attain any substantial achievements - aside from Top 20 placements - that were indicative of his skill and overall quality.

Maybe if given some time aleksi would have achieved something, lets not forget that with hooxi they didnt qualify for the rio major, but I love hooxi and im glad he found success :)

if we compare 6 months of Aleksib vs 6 Months of Hooxi. Aleksib had 1 finals appearance and Major Qualification which didnt go that well as they dint make it any major impact. Hooxi had 1 Final appearance, 1 Final Win. He failed to get G2 in Major but helped end year strong ending the trophy draught. Overall, In Aleksib's time M0nesy felt like a waste of 450k and even though M0nsey started poorly under Hooxi. He was setup better and is truly developing a 2nd star behind NiKo. G2 started at no.2 under Aleksib and was 7th when he left (falling to 13 when Hooxi joined). Hooxi took G2 from 13th to number 2 in the same duration as Aleksib.

Not smart to compare Monesy under Aleksib and under Hooxie, as under Aleksib it was his first apperance at tier-1. While under Hooxie he had already experience in tier-1

Comparision is about how he was being set up. I think its a fair bit of comparison. Cause I remember m0nesy's performance taking bump like in 2nd tournament under Hooxi. it was even pointed out by Casters in one of the tournament last year. I made a comment back than as well that Aleksib is not setting up m0nesy to win which made m0nesy take lot of forced duels as well as Hooxi is allowing m0nesy to take up duels more freely and that boosted his confidence. Could be an eye test kind of a thing.

I agree that with NiP he has a better chance of working out. I still don't particularly like the move and think that ztr or LNZ would have both been better moves but with going full international Aleksi was a good move. With G2 I saw just an immediate ego clash with NiKo and I think I even told my friends "the lineup may be good for a few months but I doubt it'll last for longer than 6" when the rumors came around. Anyhow I hope he succeeds obviously since he's finnish but I also can't stand his fans saying that he's the GOAT igl lmao

oooooo W take Mr. Finnish Man. Stay chad. I haven't found any reason to think Aleksib is actually a good or great IGL. He has had that one Run to the final with ENCE and has failed to replicate it. I am James got stomped by Astralis when he was in Avangar but He manage to win Major and Aleksib still struggles to have a stable roaster. At some point it stops being other people's fault and comes down to your own fault.

I agree. And what also needs to be taken into account in that ENCE run is allu. He was very much a figure who helped Aleksi in that time, you can see from their vlogs that allu was very much the vocal one and the one giving praise and constructive critisism etc. For me he's a top 10 igl right now. What he did with OG was very alright, and a failed stint with G2 doesn't really do much with all the XQTZZZ stuff and what not. It'll remain to be seen how that translates over to NIP, but I hope it's gonna go well. (I think he's also much much better in finnish speaking teams)
2023-01-27 09:28
I would like to add one thing: XQTZZZ was atleast part of the problem. With Aleksib and with Hooxi. G2 has improved greatly after they got rid of him.
