Nobody you know has had their phone nicked? That's surprising. A colleague of mine has had it happen to him twice in Bloomsbury in the last year just walking down the street. The second time he managed to grip on tight enough so they didn't actually get it. I had a girl visit our apartment for a viewing 2 weeks ago and on the way out her phone got stolen as she left the building. Though around Hackney Wick and east London these 3 guys on bikes have been doing it pretty rampantly in the last few months. There's even signs for example at Mile End station now saying to be aware of phone thieves operating in the area as you exit. Would post a photo of it here if I could. Sometimes it escalates further too: youtube.com/watch?v=LHLNjCzDva0 Have heard less happening in West London but do hear about the occasional thing: youtube.com/watch?v=qwTcfTNJ2pY

a yes, lets make our country where a great percentage of population wants to join russia even more russian. The russians arent willing to learn estonian and the soft government we have dont have the balls to shut down russian schools or kindergardens, dont require that good of a use of estonian at work places. The truth is, the estonians dont want to anything now or in the future with russia. And the question of whats the point of a language is honestly retarded

Keeping irrelevant languages is stupid imo. You have language which is used by over 200m people over the world but you decide to keep language which is spoken not even by 1m people because "You don't want to have anything with Russia"

relevant in the worlds sense, yes, in worlds sense there is only 3 relevant languages based on the people speaking it in multiple countries, english, french and spanish, also portuguese but its not that big, relevant in estonia, it absolutely is.

man go visit a mental institution, you really need it. You said it yourself no point in forcing russian to learn "irrelevant" language so I don't see a point forcing estonian to speak a dying language in their country. Same way finns won't speak swedish though it's in the education program
2023-02-03 13:51
In world sense russia is also pretty irrelevant lets be honest. Mostly/Only poor countries use it so 1st world countries don't need it. If it was relevant like english or german then baltics would probably use it. But as we can see only russians use it in baltics.

more like 35% on a good level and 25% of that are russians that barely speak estonian. most estonians have a decend B1 level understanding of russian that fades over time because it's not useful if you're highly educated, construction workers and cashiers speak russian here. it's like saying 50% of US speaks spanish on a very good level. and luckily schools and kindergartens in estonia will stop teaching russian in 3 years and 5 years respectively thanks to the war.

This is a standard ru tactic. They force people to learn russian (as it was in the USSR or in the russian empire), and when people begin to understand it normally, they say that you are russians and you need to be "liberated". Ukraine knows it perfectly.

idek if you are trolling or not. Every language has its own culture, its own words, its own books, its own literature. Also switching language isnt gonna happen in a finger snap. If we make all the russians here speak estonian then we will have 1.3 million, and since we will never be part of russia again then there is no point to learn russian, ofc it can help but it also would help that russians who have lived here their entire lives speak estonian faster than some foreigners from asia, arabic or african countries. They learn the language since they want to be part of the culture, and they do it in like 3-5 years, russians on the other hand are so egoistic that they arent just willing to learn it because they can get by speaking russian

Trier, Jermany. I'm not into modern buildings and shopping possibilites, I prefer old buildings, especially churches or remaining city gates/walls. Trier is awesome for that. So many very old buildings in a relatively small area, meaning you don't have to walk far to see all the important things. Edit: I was in Barcelona once. It was not really exciting.

i was on work and holiday visa in Australia, what's the best city down under in your opinion? I really liked Blacktown and Canberra:) But, srsly I think Brisbane is nice, amazing pool lagoon in the city looked like a paradise for me, Melbourne is also nice but weather is slightly worse than in the north. Also bread in AU is soo bad :( I could not eat it

Not an objective one. It's appealing to me personally with my background. I love its combination of: - well-maintained but still doomerish Soviet residential areas - classy European old town - modern business centers & nice-looking residential buildings with the Scandinavian vibe - odd architecture of the big money of early 2000's (the malls and the downtown with Europa tower, all of that stuff) - green areas with single-family buildings like Zverynas. All this architecture of different historical periods is intertwined very organically. Never seen anything like that. And it is also the size of the city, it's neither big nor small. Just right.

Atleast not office whores who thinks they are equal to men and turned against men because she thinks she can earn for herself from onlyfans What is dowery?? It's actually privilege that womens in traditional world gets after getting married where her parents gives her household stuff so she can happily live with her husband and from husband side family they give those women gold or property so women gets financial help from both side of her family What do u guys do with women they don't even get married but get her holes drilled by countless men and then she gets old now no men want to marry her and she spent her whole life in offices and restaurant And gets too old and cry because she don't have kids because she didn't marry because western lifestyle western system sucks it's inhuman

Dowry is a privilege? IS that why female infanticide and foeticide has been so prevalent that you have 30 million more men than women. INFACT so prevalent that prenatal sex determination has been banned in your streetshittingland. Women work in our countries and can have a life just as fulfilling without getting married. You know women are equal to men where we live. Imagine that concept. We don't kill little baby girls around here or rape them in a buss like you do in that fucking shithole.

Awww you love me. That's so sweet :) Living here is decent, don't get me wrong, and I wouldn't know where else in Germany I wanted to live rn, but it's pretty expensive, especially renting a flat. Going by bike for example sucks major, it's a car loving city. Having all these tourists events (harbor birthday, Harley days, Schlagermove,...) is terrbly annoying. Air quality most likely is super shitty and noise is quite a factor, too. Oh, and don't get me started about the weather..

probably bruges since the city feels more historical on a broader stretch beside the city center like it is in ghent (ghents historical center is very nice though). some parts of brussels or antwerp are great too. ghent probably close second behind bruges in my opinion

I was there for 4 months and I can say it is one of the best for European standards, ok it is missing popular (as in famous) cultural locations, that southern europe has. It also has expensive prices. But other than that it is perfect honestly: -good public transport -walkable, cyclable -amazing people -solid nightlife, (norwegians can party) -low pollution (at least what it felt like, maybe data says otherwise idk) -so much nature in every direction and so many outdoor activites to do just at the city border (cycling, skiing, swimming, sailing, hiking,...) and all of those are not just "a little bit", you can do a full experience of any of these activites probably forgetting stuff negatives: -not thaat popular culture to explore (compared to south european, asian, south american, american capitalism and exotic ones), it is interesting though -expensive -cold (for some, not me) tldr its very nice! and idk why i wrote all that
