technically the romanian colours are slightly more defined than chad's (as in romania gives specific colour codes whereas chad just says "red, yellow and blue")

when i found out that the latvian flag was first used in the 13th century and is one of the oldest flags in europe i was happy because this meant austria is copying us and not the other way around, but the austrian flag was first used in 1230 which means im probably wrong

Its not a copy, far from. The Austrian flag is from a war hero that came home covered in blood and when he took his belt op there was a white stripe in the middel. Thats why the Austrian flag is red with the white stripe
