at the moment it's not even a debate s1mple is the GOAT, but considering that s1mple has 1.18 rating past 6 months, this year nr.1 will be taken by ZywOo, I don't believe in s1mple comeback, trust me I am of the biggest fan, but he disappointed his fans again and again. So it will be 3 1st places for ZywOo, and he is only 22, s1mple is 25 and he is already washed up, probably not even washed up, he simply has no more passion for the game, you can see it on his streams, and judging by how often he plays comparing to his prime years.
Thoughts? Do you believe s1mple will comeback after playing for 9 months with 1.21 avg rating?

2019 was ZywOo's first year tier 1 CS and he instantly took away s1mples crown, after s1mple played the best year (2018) anyone has ever played up to that point in CS history. And in 2020 ZywOo took top 1 again, his worst HLTV placement in 4 years tier 1 CS was 2nd. At some point he will have more achievements then s1mple, I'm sure of it. If ZywOo will be the absolute GOAT of CS:GO in the future I can't tell yet.

I would say its copium for both, S1mple is quite agressive player so is zywoo but they play different kind of agressive playstyle. ZywOo uses the standard way of trying and supporting his teammates by clearing angles and predicting an angle of enemy. S1mple does help his teammates using unusual ways of impacting the round by mostly explosive plays and he can also predict the enemy angle but he mostly swifts inbeetwen angles incase if enemy does something unpredictable. In reality s1mple and zywoo are similiar caliber players its just that they play different playstyles because they are unique in their own way.

ok, I've checked event ratings from s1mple and zywoo. Zywoo underperforms with for example 1.10 PGL major Antwerp rating or 1.12 on IEM Cologne. (It's not only to you), I don't see anything wrong with s1mple having a bit worse events (1.16 rating at world blast final and now 1.2), it's not the end for him, it's just rebuilding of a team and he might came back. Every players has highs and lows.

Realistically its almost certain that Zywoo will overtake S1mple again. He has more years than S1mple left so will likely just expand his collection of top1's due to not having a S1mple to fight against. The only way S1mple stays the GOAT is if someone like Sh1ro, NiKo, Monesy, etc challenges him for that number 1 spot. If that's the case then we'll also be able to make a new debate at whether that player is the goat.

yeah zywoo had offers from G2 and Faze (and a bunch of smaller teams like Ence i think but who cares about ence) but denied both faze and G2 basically the same day he got them. I respect him being faithful to his team, he will probably retire at vita in 2027 or whenever he wants but i dont think its the smart move

No. s1mple's was better because ZywOo litteraly has won nothing really relevant at all for now. Only online events/studio events without a crowd. In 4 years in tier 1.
ZywOo has the edge in individual achievements but he is miles behind in terms of trophies and performance overall at the biggest events.
At 22 s1mple hard carried Navi for years into wins and grand finals in the likes of cologne, majors (with liquid also) being a finalist twice and semi-finalist countless times, ZywOo never ever went past quarter finals at a major, and failed to win Cologne in 2019.
I believe m0nesy will become the future goat, not yet but with some years and experience he will be unbeatable, I mean he is 17 or something and already so good
