Ways AI can help the orgs
Brazil arcblason
I was just thinking about 2 ways the orgs can use AI in csgo. What do you guys think ? 1) Training an AI to play like FAZE(or NAVI or G2) the way they play in real tier S tournaments. If I am the owner of a csgo org I would pay for this AI so my team would be able to play against it for practice to increase their chances of beating the real FAZE . This AI would be able to tell me with some precision how FAZE would react to my tactics. IF the match is on LAN, how would FAZE react ? If the match is on a STAGE , how would FAZE react ? what if the match is online ? 2)Training an AI to play exactly like csgo players (individuals). If I want to invest in a new line up I could pay for this AI to see how the players would perform together before I spend money getting the players. If we make a team with s1mple+electronic+m0nesy+b1t+boombl4 how would this team perform against all the teams in the top10 hltv ? Of course, it doesnt need to be popular players, It can be some tier 2 players that I think have some potential.

Yes, I know. But I think we arent too far. Just a guess, I dont know much about AI.

i am surprised by the ammount of people that have not seen an AI made that dominated best dota 2 players, dota 2 is even more situational than cs and way way way harder than cs. youtube.com/watch?v=pkGa8ICQJS8&embeds_e..

Yes you could program a bot that spinbots through the map and oneshots everyone, but that doesn't mean you can create an AI that plays exactly like a team or exactly like any given player

this is not possible to programme a bot to play like a unpredictable player

It doesnt need to predict the player. It just need to play with similar behavior of the player. For instance, if you take all demos from ropz, maybe you can teach an AI to behave like ropz behaved in the past. Of course the AI wont be able to predict how he is going to play in the future, but it will be able to behave like he behaved until the end of 2022, for example. Similar movement patterns, similar reflexes in similar situations. It can be a team too. Imagine if you have an AI that plays like FAZE played in 2022, with similar rotations. You can practice with your team against this AI.

both are impossible AI will never be able to replace human behaviour and imitate it to the fullest

It doesnt need to imitate to the fullest. I am saying something like " today I want to practice against a team that behave similar to cloud9". Or " If I remove broky from faze and put someone that have a behavior similar to s1mple (movement, reflexes, aggressiveness and so on), how would the team perform ?"

I completely understand your point, no worries. I just think it would be near impossible, as AI can't account for factors and traits inherent to humans. It would probably be able to create bots with a higher skill ceiling and behaviour of a certain degree, as bots are now, but I do not think it can imitate particular players/teams.

you can watch documentary, AI can learn that easily and in just couple weeks actually , also as i sent you the AI that dominated the best Dota 2 players, dota 2 is way more tactical and situational based and so many desicion making and much movement based

I am not talking about besting pro players, though. This has already been achieved, whether in MOBA games or chess.

but in a videogame you can just give the AI aimbot XD

It's an interesting concept but close to impossible, CS:GO is so situational and a number of different things can vary a players reaction to a play, utility amount, HP, weapon, information, even how good of a game they're having in relation to confidence will effect their decision. What I'm saying is decision making is so circumstantial that if you put a player in the exact same situation where all things align even then they may not do the same thing and change a few things around just a bit and you'll have a number of different ways they may play it.

I am not saying the AI would predict what the player or the team would do with 100% precision. I am just saying the AI would have similar behavior. For example, we both know that cloud9 and furia have different behavior. We know one team is more aggressive than the other. What if I want to pratice with my team against a team that have behavior similar to furia because I know eventually I will have to play against furia in a tournament ? What if I want to practice against a player that have the same behavior as s1mple with the same characteristics (reflexes, movement pattern and so on).

Well it's more of a starting foundation of what to do against such a player or team, it can only replicate their manurism's to an extent and doesn't help the cause if the team change positions or strats at all, It's not a terrible idea, but it should be only utilized for a foundation of what to work on.

Ffs stop spamming. Poker bot would destroy every player but it still can't play like pro Poker players like Negreanu just like there is no Chess bot that plays like Carlsen

most dumb shit ever... a) there is no chance of having such an AI which doesnt repeat itself at some point or the AI is so "smart" that it develops further and then isnt the same as ur expected result anymore b) the costs of that AI is absolutely 0 worth it knowing some or most orgs write red numbers with their cs team and winning 1 or 2 tourneys more wont win you enough money c) an AI cant immitate special decisions made on the fly by players since it always tries to act rational and if a player makes 2 irrational decisions in 100 games the AI will start to let it fall flat d) also it doesnt bring you much to play against a perfect AI since humans make mistakes like missed sprays and whiffed awp shots which an AI wouldnt make since it is learning to become perfect... it rather makes you more scared knowing ure fucked anyways which could also transform into normal matches too so it rather damages your confidence than boosting it

a) The goal would to behave exactly like the player behave in game. "Develop further" would mean behaving more like the player to a point where we cant see the difference. b) The AI would not be just for the csgo orgs. It would be for the esport orgs in general, or even casual gamers that want to improve individually. You can spread the cost of it. For instance, if you want an AI that can help you develop you tier 3 team that just play online tournaments, than you have a monthly cost. But if you want an AI to help you with your TIER S team, you will have to pay more. Do you want to practice with your friends a retake against a setup of ropz+s1mple+zywoo ?? You can too. d) The AI would not be perfect. It would behave similar to the player. With similar precision in similar situation. "If niko doesnt get a kill in the first 3 rounds he tend to have a accuracy of X in his spray on the 4th round" "If m0nesy is doing a flick to the left against someone that is moving with a mac10 his accuracy is X, but if he is doing a flick to the right against someone that is jumping his accuracy is Y"

how do you replicate nerves, stress and pressure on your AI?

Let say we have an AI that plays like ropz. If this AI is in a clutch situation, it would have the similar characteristics ropz has in this specific situation. The same spray precision, the same reflexes, movement pattern and so on. We probably have enough data see how ropz precision is if he is in this situation on LAN, on stage and on internet. Then, if my team is doing practice against this AI, we could set it to show the same behavior ropz has on LAN. Of course I am just using ropz as an example, but maybe 5 years from now the e-sports orgs would be able to use the AI this way.
