They lost both pistols and conversions. NiP is not looking too hot right now, I admit, but given they just lost a major player and are playing with a standin it is enough to win this bo1 like they just did.
Aleksib's T side was masterful, it won them the game.

There are legitimate top tier teams which have lost these opening bo1s in almost every tournament so what is your point? They should've won 16-6 and not give up any rounds?
Standin is absolutely an excuse, its a team game and with the limited prep time they have had they will 100% have weaknesses in each map.
Also, it makes no difference whether they win by a lot or in OT, its a bo1 opening win either way.
NiP is still shit? Now they beat Spirit 16-7 in a clean fashion :> Id say pretty nice start for a team with emergency standin

You don't need an excuse, it's a thing that happens all the time and there is nothing bad about it. Mibr are a solid team and have challenged the best of tier 1 before, and continue doing so.
But if you really want to:
-standin
-lost both pistols
-mibr are an unknown quantity since they don't play tier 1 tourneys
-mibr are a solid team, especially on Nuke
-Nuke itself

NiP lost 4 rounds because he saw the player first but wasn't able to convert the kill and ended up leaving the 1 vs 2 or 2 vs 3 situations instead the other way around.
AleksiB should do like Karrigan and play entry to serve as bait to the other player with better aim.

Well the old NIP played in the op A1-S meta so if Aleksi's NIP was as good on CT as the full Swedish roster it would be really weird since CT side in general is less dominant

You are holding him up to a high standard then. Og had 2 washed players and 2 tier 2 players and for those the results were above expectations.
I've explained this before and I'll do it again.

T-Side calls: One of the absolute best
CT-side calls: The absolute worst in the scene (doesnt matter which map even ... )
Hampus was the total opposite, he was a beast caller on ct side but terrible as T.
Aleksib really have to learn how to call ct side.

Feels like NiP has some communication issues on CT side. Brollan usually doesn´t shine as he is supposed to as CT, but hopefully they can fix the problem.

I think that is connected to my view on the situation explained at #57.
This static ct-plays with not a lot of info-gaining takes the players by surprise a lot more and to be quite frank, it's boring to play like that (loses focus).
If a player like brollan get's a bit more freedom as ct to make plays i'm sure he'll shine on ct side as well.
You assume that IGL midrounding has equal effect on both T side and CT side.
That is an interesting assumption.
If my IGL is calling great T side, then all I need is individuals capable of holding their sites, which is hard with what NIP has against the other top teams.
It's up to the org to build around aleksib and headtrick properly. Konfig IS a great start to that end if he can keep his shit together outside the server. Now we just wait to see if Brollan improves or is another replacement needed.
T side is more about calling, while CT side is more about protocols. It should get better after some time barring no more roster changes.

Hopefully this, though Aleksib almost never make any special plays on ct side (pushing or lureing etc). It's either static same positions (holding defensively) or stacking a site.
With hampus calling CT side there were much more info-gaining and strategical pushes here and there always surprising the enemy.
I think Aleksi needs a lot more of this on CT side. I mean, T-side calling from him is magical, he should use some of that calling even on ct side.
