Will time help NIP get better?
 |
Serbia Silentswordz
It worked for G2 kind of, but will it work for NIP as well? Even though they won this map, losing this many rounds to MIBR is kinda embarrassing ngl.

Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
ofc yes with how little time they had theyre basically still playing with a standin at this event

they already had an established core with the structure and adaptability to play with a stand in, also having karrigan helps NiP literally have a new IGL awper and rifle k0nfig literally said in interview that he has no idea what is going on and that they "feel like there playing faceit pugs"

better like that than playing with a aleksib's "structure", they only lose matches when aleksib igling

Oh right forgot, if you are the IGL you should play bad individually every game and it's bad if you actually perform and aren't a liability. You can see from the stats when he has been in NIP that he is one of the worst performing players on average, it's not like he sets himself up every round and takes the best positions etc. Like he played ramp on Nuke which is usually the place the IGL's (worst individuals) play. Ofc useless to even try make sense to you when you just hate him because he made the last tier1 Swedish team international

I'm not saying he's taking the best positions LOL He is a bad igl and his gameplan is so shit that his godlike teammates underperform.

lol so you're saying Rez, Brollan & headtr1ck are godlike? Last time Brollan was in top20 players was in 2020, Rez has never been a top20 player and headtr1ck is completely new to tier1 CS. I hope you are just baiting because if not you are really delusional

can't perform under aleksibot. Brollan is one of the best aimers. In the right spots he can carry every game.
2023-02-03 02:03

Yes because aim is the only thing that matters in pro CS... So it's Aleksi's fault he is constantly losing 1v1 duels? He is an aggressive entry player and has been that in Fnatic and NIP before even playing under Aleksi and entrying is a lot about using your own mind and skills. It's not like Aleksi says "watch at this spot when you take Banana on Inferno", it's on Brollan to be able to do that. Or on Overpass when Brollan is the solo A player on T side it's his job to find the space and not lose the duel against the enemy's A defender which he did almost every single round in both games against Navi. You seem to think Brollan is some superstar player that should play in best spots every game when in reality he is an entry player who plays those spots on CT&T what for example Rain plays.

The logic of aleksib haters is really something to behold: If he gets low amount of kills and they win = aleksi sucks and he must be replaced If he gets high amount of kills and they win = aleksi sucks as an igl because his teammates got less kills than him Almost as if there is nothing that he could do for you to drop your pathetic, illogical hatred of him. What has he done? Did he steal your girl or something? Whereas youre probably one of those who will praise Hooxi as an IGL for "unleashing NiKo and m0NESy when they carry G2 to a close victory while Hooxi is 5-22. Masterful work from the captain! This is not even a jab at Hooxi, who I think is doing a nice job as well, but honestly the double standards are just insane.

"If he gets low amount of kills and they win = aleksi sucks and he must be replaced If he gets high amount of kills and they win = aleksi sucks as an igl because his teammates got less kills than him" So, this is what everyone is saying????????? You are fucking wrong here. NIP plays like shit that's why everyone hates him.

The guy I replied to said he is a bad igl because he had more frags than 3 of his teammates in a match they won. Thats not exactly fair criticism now is it?

Ok tell me he is bad when they got to quarter final twice and with aleksib they went 0-3 in legends. Hampus also had academy players in the team.

By the same logic they have academy players now in the roster, headtr1ck came straight from an academy team, no? They have attended just a few tournaments so far and are doing rather well given the circumstances.

They had little practice as a five man team and REZ had a new role? FaZe also went 0-3 as the best team of the year so obviously shit like that can happen even to the best of them.

He hada couple good calls on T-side. but reason he was that effective was because MIBR just gifted them Map control without putting any resistance.

Yea ik mibr didnt put much effort on keeping the map control away from NiP but aleksi instantly realized that they are lacking at map control overtaking and used it

I think most of the times he was just surprised how much space he had to work with. But he did use it quite effectively. It was a hard thing to fuck up and he didn't fuck up.

I dont agree, that call to go outside garage, under heaven and flank the guy holding frank was a very creative call on the first buy round of the T side. It is very unusual way to play and they literally got the site for free.

Stop underestimating these tier 2 teams holy shit, anything but losing to them is fine and nothing to worry about, especially in bo1 matches at the start of tourneys. Also obviously time will improve them, they're playing with a rookie awper and a standin rn

It's weird how this narrative continues to exist even though it never really was the case, and the gap between tier 1 and tier 2 is getting smaller and smaller. You can just pick out any major and you'll see bo1 upsets galore

Especially when all casters and experts talks about how difficult Bo1 games are, even against lower tiers. But when a tier 1 goes 16-14 or 16-13 against a tier 2 team, fans wants roster changes lol

Okay, IEM Rio Major last year: BNE vs BIG 16-11 Cloud9 vs Greyhound 17-19 GamerLegion vs Vitality 16-10 Outsiders vs IHC 16-12 There you have some upsets in Bo1.

Not like they play nuke often and also 2 new players, not the easiest.
2023-02-01 13:46
its bo1 and map they haven't played much also constant roster changes make it difficult I wait for spirit game to see
2023-02-01 13:47
Well considering the fact that they have now played in last 6 games with 4 different rosters it would be pretty weird if they didn't get better. Especially for an IGL like Aleksi who likes structure it must be hard to call when you can't have much structure at all when you constantly have a new player

I think the problem with NiP is: 1. Brollan not speaking Swedish, he wants to play in Swedish team. 2. Constant stand-ins. 3. Headtrick as an AWPer when he's really no better than REZ as AWP 4. AleksiB as IGL, he's a good IGL but only with Finnish teams, he simply won't do well as an IGL in English speaking team.
2023-02-01 14:46
always. time helps people adjust, learn more about each other and play more fluidly as a team. time made all cs teams better over time simply due to innovation, but if a team sticks around for a while they won't just improve their aim, reflexes or strategy, they'll improve cohesion and figure out how their teammates play without needing it to be explicitly called out

No, they are chokers like niko. And what can u do when ur best player is aleksib?
2023-02-03 02:14
Embarrasing thread and you obviously dont know what positions hampus had before which konfig had to adapt into. Hampus is a yard player on nuke (hard position) which k0nfig had to play. How do you think he would adapt super fast in such a short notice?
