Yeah, CS:GO peaked in 2016 and slowly dying afterwards
2023-02-01 15:54
CSGO peaked when Valorant was just released
2023-02-01 15:55
already peaked
it wont peak again unless valve rolls out a few updates
2023-02-01 15:55
I guess, my knife lost 50€ of value
2023-02-01 15:55
If they continue to only focus on skin - then yes
2023-02-01 15:56
idk but xatntares peek is strong
2023-02-01 16:00
if s1mple continues to gain a certain thing he will carry csgo to the peak by himself
2023-02-01 16:04
CS peak is always changing as the game is evolving so the peak is the present and the future
2023-02-01 16:10
I think it can still grow, it is the "de facto" e-sports game imo and if any e-sports game is going to stay relevant it is csgo
2023-02-01 16:11
can't get much better than faze navi final tbh
2023-02-01 16:22
it peaked already now its slowly dying
2023-02-01 16:25
I think the problem is that pretty much everyone who is/was into FPS games tried CSGO. So, people that didn't enjoy it won't suddenly change their opinion. Therefore there is no source of new players unless valve makes changes to the game that attract new players or starts bombarding it with content. But CS is known for it's 'stability' + valve are lazy af
2023-02-01 16:29
source 2 (if ever) will be its peak
2023-02-01 16:33
it would be dead if it had proper AC XD
2023-02-01 16:44
I think the CSGO future is quite guaranteed. It won't die because it is still competetive more than Valorant and other FPS as some of them even died before the competition begun. CS is more legendary and keeps growing maybe not as much as Valorant at start, but now you can see Valorant numbers stabilising while CS keeps on growing and even gaining sponsors like Media's + similiar to football sponsors. Which can keep coming
2023-02-01 17:04
It peaked because of covid
2023-02-01 17:25
people will run back to cs once they realise how shit valorant esports really is
2023-02-04 11:06
It gonna peak in 2023. Check player number statistics
2023-02-04 11:08
csgo peaked in 2019 maybe and it all went downhill from there
2023-02-04 11:09
problem is game hasnt peaked, but the devs gave up on it :(
2023-02-04 11:11
I don't think Cs:go has peaked. From all the e-sport games, this has biggest chance of longlivety. Its easy enough to understand for even more casual viewer and high enough skillceiling, especially regarding teamplays. As long as there is strong enough playerbase we will see csgo grow. It is possible though that during covid there was a peak because of other reasons and it will take same time to grow the numbers back up.

For me it needs some major change otherwise its just cool to play but watching pro cs is absolutely boring. Watched prolly every tournament from 2014-2017 and after that i have an seen prolly 2-3 full games, it just brings nothing new to me. Yeah the way pro's play is different compared to 2016 but the concept is the same since 2004.
Even playing gets boring unless you buy premium so u dont play Mirage every game :D
2023-02-04 11:24
If source2 comes out we have peak
