he was initially in talks to be their coach
then he criticized their management decisions and their dumbass director of performance went ad hominem, basically leaking what he said in their confidential coach position interview that he had with them
the drama seemingly ended, but a few days later he made another critique and this time that same woman said something along the lines of "this is not the first time that a middle aged white man is obsessed with me" and the entire community started flaming her

Idk I feel it being one year and one lineup hurts his legacy. We can’t ignore his time in cloud 9 and Extremum. Realistically his 4 career achievements:
1 major quarter
1 major semi
1 A tier event win
1 s tier final appearance
To me you just can’t be top 5 with that no matter how much you got a team to over perform. I’d maybe go like top 20
I just can’t get over how bad Extremum was either. I mean I understand they lost jks but holy shit that had to be one of the most disappointing rosters in modern CS history.

the problem with extremum is that they expected to be good instantly, but started of at the bottom and slowly climbed
their last event was the RMR where they were one map away from getting enough points to qualify and they got cut after they failed, which is a shit but expected move from a sus org

But they weren’t just not good, they were really bad. Like they weren’t even competitive in T2. I’m not sure how it would have turned out if they kept jks and the same system but I feel like when discussing kassads we have to acknowledge the roster under delivering.
Like I said I like Kassad and think he’s good (I wish he wasn’t such an ass about Hooxi so he could’ve coached g2) so none of this is meant in a bad way

I mean they started at number 27 and ended 10 months later at number 46 with no really impressive results even at the T2 level. Also I’m not sure it’s fair to call it a fresh roster when the entire roster + Kassad had been together for literal years with the exception of BnTeT.
It’s not like G2 for example who changed their entire system with a new IGL + coach + anchor and needed time. Theoretically Extremum should have just been able to swap in BnTeT for jks and been good to go after at least 4 months together but like I said they kept the roster for 10 months with no real results to show
kassad has never won anything LMAO. all he won with the aussies were some regional quallies in ASIA.
if he was serious, he wouldve coached some tier 2 teams and tried to make them successful. That never happened.
there's a saying where i come from: sheep that cry a lot, dont carry much wool.
=> kassad is bald in many aspects.

semifinals of two majors with an australian team and a finals appearance that they'd have won had it not been prime astralis on the other side

the usual pr drama is in full swing.
hes a boomer who has come to the realisation none of his cs dreams will ever amount even though he still loves the game so hes finally lost his marbles and cracked
he played on a serbian team with YNK and niko, it didnt go as far as hoped but niko still went on to become one of worlds best while him and ynk had to call it quits and become analysts, i think hes still a bit jealous or salty inside
so he decided to try find some salvation, pride and achievements doing the coach thing, unfortunately he got stuck with an aussie team so that never took off, the real salt on the wound is he found nexa who was a current serbian pugstar in eu and bought him to renegades, but that never came to fruition aswell, despite nexa progressing to become one of the worlds best IGLs he probably feels like he never got credit for that aswell
so now that he will never achieve anything, hes trying to down talk all the new gen players etc before theyve even had a chance to develop, just because hes jealous they might achieve something later on down the track and he knows he never will, everythings failed for him

It was carmac's video that confused me. At least Spunj and YNK's had something off in it.
But then ESL's reply to Kassad's tweet clears it up,

What a man child, just can't keep it professional.
Even if its scripted its a demented thing to do. Its his own personal beef with EG management. Why the fuck would he bring it to an ESL tournament? Its clearly he who came up with the idea to do this. So like, why did they let him go through with it?
Imagine if Thorin started saying the same shit about Fallen on stage. Now its only getting by without much critique, because its EG. And they are a joke team, but, its incredibly unproffessional.
